    Thank you HSL.

I was very lucky to receive some belated birthday money this past week, so I paid £100 into the bank account this morning. £50 has been transferred to the savings and £50 has been paid off the mortgage. That brings the total mortgage ops this month to £117.46 :)
Now that my new mortgage deal has kicked in i!!!8217;ve upped the regular automatic overpayment to £51.27 monthly which rounds the mortgage payment up to £400 again, so, from next month I will be setting my target to overpay by £150 a month instead of the current £100 as over £50 is done so automatically anyway.

DS and I have been staying with my family for the last 5 days. It has been so nice to be with them, but so distressing to see my Mum in so much pain and struggling with everything and my Dad so distressed about the situation. Life is particularly hard at the moment. :(

OH is now quite poorly too, so i!!!8217;m really worried about him as well. :(

Last week we were very kindly given a huge amount of hand me downs for DS from family members - all very !!!8216;cool!!!8217; character clothes, so DS was very happy with his new stash! I shouldn!!!8217;t need to buy t-shirts, hoodies, jeans, pyjamas, shorts, or dressing gowns and onesies for some time! My parents and my sister had also bought some school polo shirts, trousers and t shirts or DS in bigger sizes too and my parents have given me £40 to pay for the next !!!8216;big purchase!!!8217; DS needs such as shoes or a coat etc., so I will save that for when it is needed. We were also sent home with lots of groceries and household bits, they are just so kind to us, I don!!!8217;t know what i!!!8217;d do without them. :heart2::heart:

This morning we picked up two parcels from the sorting centre - one was some spices and cooking mixes i!!!8217;d ordered with a 20% off code, the other was a parcel from a lovely friend with belated birthday gifts for DS and I. She is so kind and I feel bad as I have not been in touch with her much this past year due to life getting in the way. :( I must write and thank her this week.
We picked up some bits in home bargains that we had run out of - softener, toilet cleaner, kitchen roll and cereal for DS, total spend of under £8, paid for in cash.

I also finally paid in the old money for OH which has added to his pot by £49. He has £322.15 in it now. :)

Off to pack for DS now as he!!!8217;s going away with his Dad for a few days. I!!!8217;m really going to miss him but plan to overhaul this house a bit this weekend by decluttering, doing a bit of DIY and tidying up.

I was really down yesterday and not in a good place, but today, thankfully, has been better.
I was up early as I didn’t sleep well, but I started sorting out cupboards and compiling stuff for the charity shop and now have 4 bin bags full to take tomorrow. I sorted through all the clothes that DS was given and put them away, putting some aside for him to have at his Dad’s house. I have filled a box of his too small clothes to go on eBay and advertised 3 items on gumtree and FB sites.
I’ve washed and labelled the new school uniform and done two more loads of washing as well.

I found a tin of white satin woodwork paint, so have touched up the staircase and bannisters as the chips had been bothering me, and I then gave the bathroom skirting boards a coat of white to freshen them up before painting the walls and before the new flooring is laid soon.
I have moved a few bits of furniture around into different rooms to make them work better for us and have cleared some clutter that was in the conservatory into the shed. I need to pick up a cheap bedside table/cabinet for the spare bedroom as i’ve now used the Ikea storage bench that was in there to the conservatory to store DS’s outside toys in. I need to get everything out of the shed as it seems I have mice !!!128001; and the shed is damp and horrible anyway. I say shed, it’s more like an old large outhouse. It’s horrible, but it seems it’s going to prove costly to knock down and remove. :(

I’m now sat in my newly decluttered conservatory with a coffee, feeling quite pleased with what i’ve achieved today. :)

I’ve had several people interested in a £20 item already, so hopefully that will go this weekend.

Glad to see you perked up yesterday, hopefully today will be more of the same.
I think you cope admirably with everything that you have going on.

You did so much yesterday, I love moving furniture round and having a clear out - I think some things can only be done when kids (and pets) are out of the way like painting. Why when you paint no where near where they have to go do they still end up with a splodge of paint on them???

Nice to 'see' you greent and Eager_Elephant - I'm definitely not brave enough to paint with DS around so it always gets done when he's somewhere else - I get in enough mess myself! :o

Yesterday was mostly spent trying to cheer OH up as he is really down at the moment and I'm so worried about him. :( We did manage to get to a supermarket to get my much-needed grocery shop done at a cost of £35.46, but this included £6.50 for a big box of baby wipes (on offer), so I'm really pleased with that amount.
I also picked up some light bulbs and mouse/rat bait in wilkos, using a £6 voucher I had from doing some surveys a while ago.

The £20 item has sold, pending collection today, no interest on the other items currently.

I didn't manage to take the bags to the charity shop, but will try and do so this week.

Sold item was collected last night and £20 received. :) I've paid it off the mortgage this morning, so OPs up to £137.46 so far this month. I will be really pleased if I can get it up to £150 before next payday.

No interest on any of my other items selling locally so I will put them in my ebay pile and try them on there when I get round to it.

The boot of the car is full of bags for the charity shop to drop off after work today, so that's a bit more 'stuff' cleared from the house and off to a good cause.

Oooh - less than £15 to make your target this month - and still 2/3 of the month left :T

We've had a successful clearing out start to the month here, too - loving the results :)

It's lovely when there's a bit less clutter about isn't it Greent. I don't cope too well with having lots of 'stuff' filling the house - tidy house, tidy mind and all that. :)

£2.47 CB on the way to my account from TCB, I WILL be spending it all at once - as a teeny tiny mortgage OP.

It all adds up to make a difference! I've taken to taking my tcb as Tesc0 vouchers (used to do Amaz0n) - I then spend those and transfer the increased amount as an op (Or I tend to round it up to the nearest £5, as I like to try and keep the sub acct I'm targeting at a nice round balance :p)
