I’ve transferred money to all the different savings pots and allocated funds for March within YNAB.
There was £14.47 left in the budget for Feb, spread across a couple of pots, so i’ve made a small mortgage overpayment with that which has rounded up February’s total overpayment nicely to £287.
Mortgage now stands at £77,585.33Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

Remaining 10% OP allowance 2025: £1327.550 -
I've topped up DS's dinner money account by £25 which should cover everything until the easter holidays now. I'd allocated £35, so that's £10 saved that can be put towards a different category.
I still haven't done the big grocery shop. I was going to go to Aldi tonight but I don't think I will be able to get everything I need there and don't fancy running around to different shops, so I may look at getting a tesco delivery for the weekend instead.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

I've spent £10.67 from the spending budget on Amazon today on a few book day books for DS and a couple of books for myself. The £5 survey voucher went towards it to reduce it further.
I decided against an online delivery for the groceries as the cheapest delivery option this weekend was £4. I will brave Aldi later...Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

I braved Adli... and rapidly remembered why I normally do the large grocery shop online. Our local store has just re-opened after a re-fit and I am not that impressed. I found the prices had all crept up considerably too, to the point where I have a feeling I spent more than I would have if I'd ordered from Tesco. I also couldn't get everything on my list, so picked up the other bits in Asda later that evening.
I spent nearly £50 there... I won't be rushing back...
Asda's top up of the bits I couldn't get in Aldi came to just under £15.
We went to costco yesterday and stocked up on toilet rolls, soap powder, butter, onions and a few other bits which were on offer. I won't need to buy any loo rolls, or soap powder for months and months now. We had some lunch there too which I paid for as OH had driven and paid for a leisure park we went to first. Lunch was only £4.85 for three of us, with unlimited soft drinks.
I also had to fill the car up with diesel on Friday which cost almost £45.
So, it's been a spendy weekend but on the plus side, we're well stocked up for some time now.
DS and I had fun baking yesterday - two kinds of chocolate chip cookies and some delicious lemon shortbread squares. He took some to his Dad's, but there are a few left for him to enjoy this week.
It was such a lovely weekend weather-wise that we made the most of getting out and enjoying it whilst it was sunny. We went to a local nature reserve on Saturday and spent a few (free:)) hours having fun there.
I also managed to dry two loads of washing on the line in the sunshine yesterday, including bedding for both our beds.
Simple pleasures and all that.
I've updated YNAB, but I'm not finding the new version as simple as the old one I was using due to the 'income for next month' feature no longer being there. I'll have to find my best way of working with it though as it really does help dramatically.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

The ex has just transferred £25 he owed me, so I've paid that and another £25 off the credit card. That'll leave around £125 outstanding on there. I'll try and pay as much as I can off this month on top of my £100 mortgage OP target. I think this month may be much tougher to reach my target, but I will do my best. I may sort some ebay stuff out tonight.
One of OH's BIN's sold on ebay at the weekend, after being automatically relisted. That's around another £8 to his pot. The buyer also collected the £50 items of his at the weekend, so that's another £50 in there too. :TMortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

Oh my goodness, postie bought me some lovely mail - for a change - a cheque from the bank for £339.42! Apparently they overcharged me and added a mortgage fee in 2015 when my mortgage was changed. What a surprise!Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

Whoop! - what a lovely surprise in the post!

Indeed greent! Weirdly, I walked towards the door to pick the post up, thinking ‘wouldn’t it be nice if someone sent me a big fat cheque instead of a bill for a change.’ I think I might try the same strategy with buying a lottery ticket this week!Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

So, I walked straight to the post office this afternoon and posted DS’s too small sports boots for a refund and OH’s latest eBay sale. I then nipped to the bank and paid the cheque straight in.
When it clears, I will clear the credit card which will then leave around £209. I think I will stash £100 to the emergency savings and the remaining £109 to the mortgage as an overpayment. That’ll bring the emergency pot back up to £900.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £51,706.16

Wow - you are smashing the £100 monthly target! And congrats on the cheque, I might try thinking that when I get in tonight0
