Fridge / Freezer issue

I am worried about my fridge/freezer.
It is on the warmest setting but still ice is forming on the back wall and the food is too cold.
Is only just over a year old, the last one I had, had to be replaced due to the same issue, food was freezing in the fridge section.
What am I doing to them

It is away from the wall and has space round all the sides, not a great deal but more than I have seen in other homes, it is not encased with cupboards either side.
I have the central heating on, does that make it work harder, if I make the house cooler will that help the fridge?
I really don't want to have to buy another one I can't keep getting through one every year
If it makes a difference it is frost free.
Any suggestions welcome
thanks

You should be glad that your fridge isn't an integrated one because if my diagnosis is right, you may have to remove the rear plate of the fridge.
There is an outlet in your freezer which opens in the rear of your fridge-freezer via a pipe. This outlet helps the freezer get rid of the excess frost several times a day. This frost converts to water and drops into a plate under the pipe which eventually gets evaporated by a fan.
So, the ice buildup could be a due the failure of any of the above - blocked outlet or pipe, broken fan etc.,
The other likely factor is too much of humidity in your kitchen - is it next to your cooking station which isn't properly ventilated?
I made a video when I tried to fix my fridge-freezer. Check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VTxYrqJNRc

What number setting do you have it on? 1 is the 'warmest'/least cold setting. Higher numbers are colder. My apologies for stating the obvious - but, well, two in two years... Thought it was worth mentioning. No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0

Yes I know this thanks (after googling
) it is set on 1.
I agree this one is about 15 months old, for the same fault it must be something I am doing/not doing, just wish I knew what that was.0 -
I have just pulled it out the drip tray over the compressor is dry.
I can't get to the pipes that drip into it one is sealed in completely (the freezer one) and the other (fridge) behind the condenser.0 -
Is it overly full? Mine used to freeze up if I had bunged it too full0

If are able to, can yo share a picture after removing the rear cover?iammumtoone wrote: »I have just pulled it out the drip tray over the compressor is dry.

I can't remove the back cover as the condenser runs from the top to the bottom of the fridge/freezer (apart for a tiny gap which just houses the compressor and drip tray) to remove the cover I would have to remove the condenser first. Something I am not prepared to do. I don't want to make it worse.0 -

No but there was food at the sides. I have pushed everything into the middle to allow the air to circulate round better. I am hopeful that will help.
Also at the weekend I will turn it off to let it defrost to see if any water comes out of the drain pipes as like magn8p points out these could be blocked.0
