hello there,

i would like to obtain a credit card so that i can get 1-2k which I anticipate I could pay back in 6 months or less. So far the cards i have seen only have up to 56 days interest free credit on purchases. Are there any cards that have interest free credit on purchases for longer than 56 days?

The best place to start is Martins articles.
At the top of this page, towards the top left corner there is a tab for cards/loans.

The credit card articles are linked from that page.

There are cards with 0% on purchases for extended periods within the articles.

Just thought I'd also point out that the 'up to 56 days interest free' most likely relates to paying the balance off in full every month and isn't really applicable in your case.

As you'll be borrowing for approx 6 months then you'll need to pay attention to the introductory offers, for example 0% on purchases / balance transfers for X months.
