Aggresive marketing emails

Hi
I was wondering if anyone has come across aggressive email and postal marketing by (mainly) catalogue companies that pray on people who dont have the best credit ratings.
I have gotten myself into a situation where I have spent silly amounts on catalogues and now face entering in to a IVA /DRO. I agree that its my own fault that I bought the goods but I do feel as though the constant emails have been too much. Is this legal, can I report them?

If you are their customer you can decline contact for marketing purposes, if you haven't already then do so, but you can hardly "report" them unless you have already refused permission.
If you are not their customer, then the E-Mails are SPAM.

You could try googling the companies name and ‘asa’to see if they’ve been the subject of advertising standards report.
Good that you've identified they have had an effect on you .
There is also some information here from the information commissioner about emails
