  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one. Still without y lap top, have contacted the techie twice now. Not sure if he is away or I'll. Even so he should let me know.

Off for my pm check and then to see my friend for an hour's gossip.

It's a clear cold morning but no sign of frost. I have my leggings on under my trousers, my legs are always cold.

Fish tonight, will have the beef stew tomorrow.

    morning lovelies

Tru I sympathise my hip is particularly bad at the moment and is stiff as a board today. Really need to get on the list for a replacement but I just cant see how I could atm with mum to care for and being self employed so no work =no money. When I had my right hip done I was out of action for 6 weeks ....back then my mum and dad came round every few days to help out and drive me around how different it is now :(

Lots of daft things keeping me awake right now so when I got up this morning I made a huge Master to list otherwise known as a brain dump :D will be making a start on it today but its a good few days worth of stuff. Hoping I will sleep through now I have made a plan :)

NMLC Hope mr gets sorted out at the docs

Time to crack on with my list now.... I enjoy writing a list but hate doing it but needs must

    Have a great day all:A

    Morning all,

Feeling a bit better today. Good job, I've got the Grandchildren Saturday night overnight.

Bedding to be laundered today. Should have done it yesterday but wasn't quite up to mauling with the duvet.

Hound number one has got a cough. Hound number 2 is sneezing and Grump (yes it's back to Grump) has just had an earbashing via text.

    Oh deep joy!

    Onwards and forwards

    Have a great day all

  • Morning (just)

It is my day off so I'm finishing some reports. I woukd have done them last night but I was ready for bed at 7, though I did stay up until 9.30 as that seemed a bit silly.

Speky, I go to bed early because I get very tired, especially on work days, my job is emotionally draining. I get up very early. I'm not wealthy but then I wouldn't be, not with three adults (including me) to keep. My health isn't too bad for an oldie, not a clue about wisdom.

Silver Oldie, I'm afraid that I'd be telling them where to stick their renewal charge but I do have two techies ready to identify better deals.

Nmlc, hope your husband sees the gp, must admit that my OH won't go to the doctor unless a part of him drops off, in which case it would be a bit late.

Must return to my personal grindstone. And later am going for mammography, nasty boob splatting, but essential and I have the scars to prove it. Scars are from a lump that wasn't anything worrying but couldn't be diagnosed without two biopsies, an ultrasound anf finally a guided wire biopsy where the consultant couldn't get the wire in, that's the scar part. And then, the hospital wouldn't let me out until I ate something, and I felt sick. I tried to get my husband to eat it and pretend it was me but he wouldn't, so I had to and felt even sicker.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

essential indeed! Mind you, i'd rather have a boob splat than a smear test... which reminds me, i'm sure i am due a smear test soon.

    Afternoon everyone
My niece and her two children arrived yesterday along with my Dad so tea was a little later than normal but the beef casserole was very tasty and hit the spot. It was lovely to see the Great niece (6) although she is hyperactive and speaks in an American accent, very strange. ( methinks too much U Tubing ). Even nicer to see Great nephew now 15, as we had sleepovers with him when he was little. He's now 6ft 3, still growing and built like a brick outhouse . He's a gentle giant who is not afraid to still give me a bear hug :).
Anyway on to today. I decided to do some tidying in the garden as it's the last green recycling collection next week. Mr Fix It came out to help and he smashed up our old fireplace which had been at the side of the house since this time last year :(. Even let me wield the sledge hammer :D. There's something so satisfying in demolition. Had to come in as it started raining in earnest. ( I have yet to find out where that is :rotfl:. )
This afternoon I shall trawl the internet for some Xmas presents for DGS. I have a list from DD as to what he has put on his list for Santa. He's 8 and still believes :j. Probably the last year though :(.
Specky I am an owl and I will happily stay up till 2am then sleep till 9.30am. but I wasn't able to do this until I finished working. However Mr Fix It is a lark and in bed at 9pm but up at 5.30. ( it means I can watch my recorded TV programmes in peace after he's gone to bed :D ) He is neither healthy or wealthy but I suppose we are both wiser now we are older. It would be nice to be able to go back to our 20's and have this wisdom.
Nelski I confess to love writing lists too :o. I even write lists of lists :rotfl:.
OK off to write a list of presents to take to the toy shop tomorrow :D. I think I'll have a nice relaxing bubble bath later after tea, which will be a freezer suprise again !
Have a good day and hugs to all.

    Afternoon everyone.

Another late one from me, it's not been a good week and it's having an impact. I slept well though, even had a dream which I'm sure I've had before.

My lovely farmer pumped up my tyres for me this morning, he's all set up in the huge barn so it was easy. And he loves a chat too. I felt awful when we were talking as I said I'd had a rotten week and then remembered he'd lost two sons and BIL in the last two years! Luckily he saw the funny side.

Then I zoomed into town for a couple of chores. Once I'd had lunch I made series of 'complaining' phone calls, A*azon, nPower and JL. Got some satisfaction out of them, nPower are even giving me £30.00 credit for the data reader not coming out yesterday. Seems the metering company cancelled the appointment though they didn't tell me. Grrr!

I've lit the woodburner again, it just makes me feel cosy and calm.

Happy rest of Thursday to all.

    .

    Thank you
I have no idea, would be grateful for suggestions.
We only had basic sky package
We don't have a tv aerial, we have a sky box. Would like to be able to record programmes. Thought there might be a box I could buy.
If you walk at night no-one will see you cry.
  • Silver Oldie, do you have a sky receiver? if so you can buy a Humax box on which you can watch and also record programmes. We have had one for the last 6 years. works great. Go onto the Humax site and have a look.

Have been using my tablet, I lost my cursor, have just managed to get it back.

Can anyone recommend a programme to edit photographs please. I used to use Photobucket but they have disabled the programme for some reason. I want to edit a couple of photographs from my grand daughtes wedding before I try to print them off. Thanks.
