More ebay changes.. (My ebay page and search)

They have got me again it seems...

The my ebay page and sort order options have changed. No mention of sorting by price including P&P.

And the search OH DEAR... I searched for an item and there were 800 results, tick the box to show all and not hide any and the first 20 were a perfect match for my search.

These items would not have shown normally, some sellers are going to be very very unhappy.

Why are they messing with the search results? Too many results then get rid of those sellers that list 600 identical items.


Time left = Newly Listed
Date Added = Most Recent

Err is that not the same thing?



Is this a hint regarding postage prices being included in sale prices??

I had a right go with their tell us what you think (again). Held back by only being able to use 500 characters.

I think i covered most of my gripes?

Couldn't agree more, ridiculous cowboy sellers that list hundreds of times and add *1 *2 *3 on the end of each listing, and even add multi variation listings of the same thing again.

Yesterday evening, eBay sent me an email stating all listings with insecure images linked via http and not https were now in breach of policy and have to be removed IMMEDIATELY with no mention of time frame or what would happen if I didn't remove the links (just links to plain old jpgs hosted elsewhere). This morning the feature in "Active Listings" which shows you which listings they are, isn't there anymore...


And incidentally half the insecure images are on eBays server such as the "shops" icon and links built with eBays own html generator.

Lots of things have changed> I've not logged in for a couple of weeks and now need some motorcycle parts. A worldwide search on ' Dnepr' has produced precisely zero results where I would normally expect to find several hundred. I also seem to have lost the facility to search for used items so when searching for other items , I have to trawl through hundreds of spamming listings by powersellers to see anything remotely interesting.


The feedback has also changed and it takes longer to complete. It isn't as easy to use or fill in more than 1 feedback at once. don't think I'll bother in future.


My suspicion is that Ebay have bought shares in Amazon and want us all to move over there.


PS, I'm not a seller, but a buyer with nearly 2000 feedback and I think I'll look elsewhere in future

I still see the same view as usual when I search, I can still sort by price incl P&P and newly listed/ending soonest aren't prefixed by 'Time left'. I can also still filter for used items only.
