car due for service on pcp and some body work damage

My car is on a pcp......it is nearly due for its annual service with toyota....a little while back i manged to reverse into a post and caused some damage....not awful but very visible.......
My insurance excess is 350 adn the quote to get it repaired 400 so not worth claiming......i have been so busy with work and need my car for work that i have yet to get it repaired..

toyota (who are really annoying me...i bought the car two years ago on 10th december.....this is its second annual service due......they wrote to me on 20th october to say my service was due and actually even left a voicemail today asking me to ring them bo book in an appt for a service...well excuse me but its 9th november - where was taht anywhere near the 10th december..sorry its all about money...at this rate i will end up having annual services in february)

my question is.....if i took it in for the service with the damage not fixed would they say anything??....i am just far too busy to get the car fixed until the week before xmas...i have also found a place with an excellent reputation who have given a good price.....and i dont want toyota to say soemthing like they - toyota - ahve to fix it otherwise it shallnt be covered by the warranty or something similar as they will charge the earth and i actually think that where i intend taking it will do a better job......

thank you

You can tell the dealer marketing that you don't wish to be contacted, you must have given them permission at the signing up stage.
The damage will need to be addressed at some point.
A month notice doesn't seem unreasonable as they too may be busy on the day that suits you.

Gosh that's so unreasonable of them (not).

I'm sure you'd be upset if you rang them in early december, and they had no slots available.

Cars get damaged. They'll simply note it on the vehicle inspection report. Not a problem. You can get it fixed further down the line.

The garage will have little or no interest in the damage. It will only be assessed by the finance company at the end of the PCP term assuming you hand out back. Stop worrying and get the car serviced.
  • many thanks
  • The Damage will get listed on the Condition report when they hand it back to you, this is kept on file at the dealership.
but they wont care about the damage at all at this stage, its when you hand it back it bite you In the backside if its not repaired to standard.

My local dealerships have a waiting list of upto 4 weeks+ for a service with courtesy car available, I get advanced booking calls and texts, its nice to have as I can get in the cue early for courtesy vehicle and not exceed the stated service intervals, if you don't want this just tell the marketing staff at the dealership when you go in next.

As others have said, you (and they) only need to worry about the damage if you either Voluntary Terminate your agreement or hand the car back at the end of the contract term. Until then you may well decide to pay the balloon payment and keep the car and so any damage is of no concern to anyone.
