Phone contract not cancelled by store, where do I stand?

When you use a PAC to transfer your number to another network it automatically cancels down the other contract as soon as the PAC is used.
However you can't use a PAC to transfer from one deal to another with the same provider.
From what you have said, they have simply just sold you a new contract and not an upgrade. However after 2 years, I really think you're going to struggle getting any money back.0 -
You'll have problems getting money back from the netwotk certainly. If you can prove the store is at fault they might stump up.0

I don’t think it’s anything to do with the network. It’s the store. They sold me a new contract and did not close the old one down. I’ve just been to see them and again when I told the staff member that I counldnt understand why I was sold a new contract anyway, he gave a knowing smile and said yeah I can’t think why they did that- which basically tells me they saw me coming and sold me a new contract to boost their sales figures.
Got a customer services number to call now.0 -
As an aside, check your credit profile on noddle. O2 blighted my credit profile because of alleged non payment of a phone contract which they failed to cancel despite my directly requesting it several times. I complained, reported them to ombudsman, made them correct my credit file and pay compensation.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

Finally spoke to someone,
Not sure what the outcome will be, but they have asked for proof of no usage from the old provider which would help my case0
