Canon EOS 400D+Lens £433(less £50 c/back) Jessops Instore

In "Digital SLR Photography" magazine Nov issue (£3.70) Jessops have a full page ad that states "We'll match the price of any camera or lens in this magazine"
www.ukdigital.co.uk have the price of the Canon EOS 400D with lens kit listed in the mag at £429 - strangely enough their website states £539!!!
However, Jessops were happy to honour the price in the mag of £429.
On top of this is the £50 Canon cashback - total price therefeore:
£429 + £3.70 (mag cost - you need to submit a voucher from inside it) = £432.70, less £50 cashback = £382.70
Thought this was a bargain so thought I would share

Go through quidco for £20 off.. you probably cant price match then, so it works out the same; £380 after cashback, online (quidco) and in store (price match).. Great camera, btw.. I just got one. :)
  • The Canon EOS 400D (Black) + EFS 18-55mm Lens is £446 online at Jessops, using the Jessops code you can get an addition £20 off, making it £426. Remember you can order on line and pick up in store.

Not sure if you could also go through
quidco to get further money off.

    Hope this helps.

  • This camera was recommended by my daughter's photography teacher at college. Since then I have seen nothing but good reviews about the camera. I'm afraid I can't tell you more than that as I'm not a photographer.

Yes they are a good camera, I am a keep photographer but sadly cant afford one of these yet, however I have handled them and they are brill cameras. I really wont one, hopefully next year
  • Tried this at the w/e but unfortunately the deal wasn't honoured. The store manager called UK Digital and first it out of stock, so I called and it was in stock (apparently in abundance), then Jessops called again and it was back out of stock, they didn't know when it would be back in, and apparently when it was, it would be £539.

From what I can gather, Warehouse Express is the next cheapest at £439. Not quite as good a saving, but still £7 cheaper than Jessops.
