Hi all,
I anticipate that I will get slated for this mistake but please can anybody help?
Last december I bought my daughter an iPhone 6 2nd hand and ensured it was cleared of all passwords etc.
I had been working for an employer for numerous years and automatically (stupidly now i know) I set the iphone up to my work email address.
The phone was damaged this year and needed repair but once it was fixed we were unable to log in to the iphone due to an activation lock.
Now it appears that the security information has been changed which means we are unable to unlock the phone and my previous employer has stated that the email address has been cancelled.
For this reason the phone is not locked and i am unable to resolve does anyone have a contact number to escalate this to apple as I believe my details have been hacked into by my previous employer maliciously.
Is there anything I can do. The email address is my name @ company name . co . uk but I assume that does not help?
Thanks in advance, I expect there is nothing I can do and I am £300 down but if there is any advise i can get i would be most appreciative

Have you tried logging into https://www.icloud.com to see if your account is accessible?
You need your Apple ID and password. If you can log into iCloud then we should be able to get you going quite easily. If you can't log into iCloud then for one reason or another, you haven't got your current login details. All is still not lost though! Here is an excellent article with a range of options:

Thank you for this,
I have tried both but it appears that the security questions have been changed therefore none of these options work for me

Have you read through all the options in the article on how to recover an Apple account? It really is a very good article and covers all the options.0
