Is it possible to save IMAP emails in a program like Windows Live Mail, so they don't disappear when deleted from the server please? Any advice greatly appreciated.

Create a local email folder in your email client, copy/move them there. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I would suggest you don't delete them in the first place. Or are you looking for a way of backing up your emails in case they're deleted from the server for whatever the reason? Is it possible to save IMAP emails in a program like Windows Live Mail, so they don't disappear when deleted from the server please? A program "like Windows Live Mail" which will make a local copy of all your IMAP emails is Mailstore Home. Its free, slightly complicated to use, and you have to enter your IMAP username and password (some people don't always remember their email password).

The best way to think of it is an Offline Windows Live Mail. (And no, I have no affiliation at all with this company.)0 -
Thank you all. I have to set up new email accounts in another web hosting package before closing the old one, whereby all my old email accounts will be deleted, so I still want to be able to access the emails... if that makes sense!0

Then set up the new email account in addition to the old one in your email client and drag'n'drop the emails from one account to the other.0 -
And/or install Mailstore Home, add all current mail accounts and watch all the mails get copied down to your computer.0

Well do as advised in the first reply. Create some local mail folders in your mail client and move the email in question into those folders. You will then have access to it when the accounts it was originally sent to are gone.Thank you all.
