Virgin Holidays | Puffin | Florida prize draw - Terms & Conditions
Virgin Holidays Prize Draw in partnership with Puffin - By entering the prize draw, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully prior to participating in this Prize Draw.
1. Definitions
“Prize Draw” means the Prize Draw described on https://www.wimpykidclub.co.uk/getaway as governed by these Terms and Conditions;
“Entrant” means any individual who has entered this Prize Draw in accordance to clause 2 who is a resident in the United Kingdom with a valid EU passport, and submits the information as required in these terms or any relevant entry instructions.
“Prize” means a 7 night stay for 2 adults, 2 children aged 16 & under at the Rosen Inn in Orlando, Florida, on a room only basis and return economy flights from London Gatwick (LHR) or Manchester Airport (MAN) to Orlando International Airport (MCO). The prize also includes Universal Orlando
Resort tickets for each person of the winning party for the length of stay. There is 1 prize available;
“Promoter” means Virgin Holidays registered at Virgin Holidays, The VHQ, Fleming Way, Crawley, RH10 9DF; Registered in England: Company Number 1873815
“Puffin” means Puffin, a division of Penguin Books Limited, 80 Strand, London WC2R 0RL.
“Terms and Conditions” means the terms and conditions set out in this document;
“Winner” means the successful Entrant who is randomly selected from all entries received.
2. Entering the Prize Draw
2.1 The Competition is open to UK residents aged 18 years or over excluding employees and the families of the Promoter and associated companies or anyone professionally connected with the administration of the Competition.
All entries must be received by 23:59pm on 22nd December 2017 (“Closing Date”).
2.2 The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all Entrants and to disqualify any Entrant if they have reasonable grounds to believe the Entrant has breached any of these Terms and Conditions.
2.3 To enter the Prize Draw Entrants must visit https://www.wimpykidclub.co.uk/getaway and enter full
name, email address and phone number. There is a limit of one entry per person.
2.4 Receipt of entries will not be acknowledged. Late or incomplete entries will not be accepted.
The Promoter and Puffin do not accept responsibility for network, computer, and hardware or software failures of any kind, which may restrict or delay the sending or receipt of your entry.
2.5 Entries must not be sent through agents or third parties.
2.6 Entrants’ data will be used for the purpose of administration of this prize draw.
2.7 By ticking the marketing opt in boxes and clicking submit you agree that the Promoter and Puffin may use your information for marketing purposes.
3. Legal Terms
3.1 The Promoter reserves the right to amend, alter or terminate this Prize Draw at any time.
3.2 By entering the Prize Draw, Entrants hereby warrant that all entry details submitted are true, current and complete. Prize Draw Entrants are providing information (as set out at clause 2.3) to the Promoter and Puffin.
3.3 The Promoter and Puffin takes no responsibility for any entry or content that is lost, delayed, misdirected, corrupted or incomplete or which cannot be delivered for any technical, delivery or other reason.
4. How to Win
4.1 The Winner will be selected by 19 January 2018 and notified within 5 working days of the Winner being selected.
4.2 The Winner will be required to respond to confirm eligibility plus acceptance of the Prize within 10 working days of notification. If the Promoter does not receive a response from the Winner within 10 working days of notification, the Prize will be forfeited and another Winner will be selected from the original entries.
5. The Prize
5.1 The prize includes a 7 night stay for 2 adults, 2 children aged 16 & under at the Rosen Inn in Orlando, Florida, on a room only basis and return economy flights from London Gatwick (LHR) or Manchester Airport (MAN) to Orlando International Airport (MCO). The prize also includes Universal
Orlando Resort tickets for each person of the winning party for the length of stay.
5.2 Holiday prize is subject to availability and standard booking terms and conditions, for full details please see https://www.virginholidays.co.uk/important/terms-and-conditions . Economy flights provided as part of the prize cannot be upgraded and air miles cannot be collected and are subject to the airline’s Conditions of Carriage.
5.3 Travel insurance is not included. Additional nights cannot be purchased. The flights and accommodation must be taken in one trip. Dates are subject to availability.
5.4 Blackout dates where travel is not permitted includes: 1st
– 12th January 2018 and 30th March to 8th April 2018. The prize must be booked with the Promoter by 22nd February 2018 and the Prize
must be taken (including the return journey) by 10th December 2018.
5.5 The Winner will receive an email from the Promoter with full details about how to make the booking. The Winner will be solely responsible for making the arrangements with the Promoter in order to redeem their Prize. Failure to follow the instructions, meet the booking date or to make a reservation will result in the Prize being forfeited. The Winner has 10 working days to accept their
Prize before the Prize is forfeited.
5.6 The Prize is non-transferable, non-endorsable, non-refundable and non-negotiable. There are no cash alternatives and the Promoter’s decision is final and it cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offer.
5.7 Once dates are confirmed there will be an administration fee payable by the Winner for any changes made to the reservation by the Winner.
5.8 If the Winner cancels the booking the Winner shall no longer be eligible for any Prize.
6. Other Legal Terms
6.1 The Winner must be one of the people travelling for the Prize.
6.2 If any Winner cancels the booking that Winner shall no longer be eligible for any Prize and will be subject to any applicable cancellation fees.
6.3 The Winner’s booking is accepted on the understanding that in the unlikely event of an overbooking at your chosen hotel, priority will be given to full revenue bookings, in which event you may be offered alternative dates or hotel.
6.4 The Winner and their guests are solely responsible for their own passports, visas and insurance requirements, any vaccinations or other travel costs or expenses not expressly included in the Prize (including but not limited to transfers, car parking costs, spending money, gratuities and domestic
transport).
6.5 The Winner will be solely responsible for paying any relevant local taxes. Any such local taxes or extra charges not stated in the Prize are the Winner’s responsibility and shall be payable at check-in or as required. Credit card details may be required by the hotel upon check-in to cover incidentals
during the stay.
6.7 The Winner and guests are responsible for complying with all travel and health requirements and recommendations for the country of destination.
6.8 The Winner accepts that the Promoter will have the right, without additional payment or permission, to use his/her name and county of residence for the purposes of announcing the Winner and for related promotional purposes.
6.9 Publicity: By entering the Prize Draw, the Winner(s) agrees to take part in any publicity relating to Prize Draw should you be invited to do so without compensation and the Promoter reserves the right to publish the Winner’s name and county in any materials relating to this Prize Draw, whether
printed or via digital channels including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Blog platforms.
6.10 There are no cash or other alternatives to the Prize stated. The Promoter reserves the right, at its absolute discretion, to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event that circumstances
beyond its control mean that the Prize as described cannot be provided.
6.12 The Promoter and Puffin shall comply with all relevant data protection legislation.
6.13 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any claims and/or disputes arising out or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
6.15 The Promoter’s decision is binding in all matters and communication in relation to its decisions shall not be entered into.
6.16 The Winner agrees to comply with all terms and conditions, rules, regulations or any other reasonable instructions of the hotel, airline and any other partner organisations involved in the administration of this Prize Draw and the Prize.
6.17 The Promoter provides no warranty or guarantee in relation to the Prize. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from Entrants’ entry
in the Prize Draw or from the Winner’s enjoyment of the Prize.
6.18 By entering the Prize Draw Entrants accept these terms and conditions. Failure to comply with these terms and conditions may result in disqualification from the Prize Draw and forfeiture of the Prize.
6.19 The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions as required. Please retain a copy of these Terms and Conditions for your reference.
