Hi all! A little advice required. I rent my old house out and they've contacted me today to tell me there are wet patches on the living room awall. I know from when I used to live there that the pouting wasn't the best as its a relatively old house. Any ideas on how much reporting will cost its a two bed end terrrace.

I think the cost varies from place to place but you can get a good idea here: http://www.whatprice.co.uk/prices/building/repointing.html#axzz4xnT25Zmo
Also, are you sure the wet patch isn't a result of damp that's raising from underneath? If so, you may need damp curing for long lasting results. Just a thought.0 -
If I was pricing work, I would double the price, in this cold weather

Do it yourself, it's easy once you get the hang of it.0

Roughly how long does it take to "get the hang of it"?0

The hard part is being neat. I'd want to practice on something that wasn't my house.0
