SH I think you just need to run £1500 through it and pay 2 DDs to be eligible as far as I can see. You do need to actually enter each month through online banking though if I'm reading it right. Worth a shot.
Just made my first OP the day after our first payment went out and the balance showed up!I'm so impatient! Balance today was £239 858.59 so rounded down by £58.59 to a straight £239 800. Such a huge and scary amount but good to take control and get going on getting rid of it.

Hello All.
A bit of mixed news on the MSE front.
On the upside; lots of using up of cheap/free yellow stickered items and lots of goodies filling the freezer as a result. Said goodies include; home made sausage rolls, chicken and bacon pies, lasagna, bolognese sauce portions, chilli con carne and corned beef pasties. I think I may be subconsciously stockpiling as I have a strong urge to bake and cook a bit like I was in late pregnancy.I am not depriving any more needy folk by panic buying, I hasten to add, these ingredients were all in my freezer or that of my shop!
In other, not so good news, DH is being affected quite badly by the virus crisis. His customer's supply chain has broken down and the factory workers are all on short time as they haven't the stock to finish the products as much of it comes from China. This means DH's orders have fallen dramatically and he is planning on halving his salary in a bid to stave off difficulties down the line with paying the business loan and other costs if this continues. It couldn't really have happened at a worse time for us, only a month after we virtually wiped out our savings in moving costs. Hopefully if we tighten our belts, which we are reasonably OK at doing, we should ride out the storm. My wage will cover the monthly bills and a bit extra so DH's wage is pretty much saved each month and used for the yearly one-off costs such as car insurance etc. We should manage ok, I just don't enjoy the uncertainty of both of us being self employed in times like these.
I think my stocking up is more about the economic impact facing our household rather than the likelihood of quarantine.
I am definitely in a squirreling-away mood.
Hope everyone else is safe and well.x

Sorry to hear that about your DH’s work. From the announcements yesterday from RBS and others it sounds like there may be help available if everything grinds to a halt, but I doubt very much you want to delay mortgage payments!
Agree about the stockpiling... I’ve just done my big monthly shop and have to keep reminding myself that I’m not stockpiling, this is how I shop anyway!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
