Moving meters

We would like to have our gas and electricity meters and fuse box relocated but are pretty clueless about the process. I understand the energy company moves the meters and the distribution board moves the supply but that's about it. Has anybody else had this done who could advise me on the procesd - who does what and in what order it needs to be done?!
The meters and fuse box will be moved by more than a meter but will hopefully be in the same room.

Didn't do this before but found some useful information here: https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/consumer/energy/energy-supply/your-energy-meter/move-your-gas-or-electricity-meter/0
