I've tried to switch my supplier - as a new tenant. This involves setting up a new account for me so I can then close it and switch to my preferred supplier. They have switched the electric but are having trouble switching the gas. They say that they can only set up and account for me for both the gas and electric but not for the gas alone. Is this legal ? Or can we have gas from one supplier and electric from another ?

Hi. It depends on the tariff offer. Some tariffs are dual fuel and others may be dual fuel or electric. Yes, you can choose separate suppliers for gas and electricity. What is the problem with the dual switch? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
