Lower offer accepted but purchaser want more off

Just take their offer, it will be less stressful in the long run. We have had the first upward move in interest rates in many people`s adult life, buyers will only get more jittery as time goes on IMO.0

As most others have said it all depends on what the survey says and in particular what their surveyor has valued the property at... so ask for a copy of the valuation and the sections of the survey that highlight £5k worth of problems. Then you can make an informed decision.Every generation blames the one before...

And I (and many others) have walked away when deluded buyers have asked for more money off without any good reason...Every generation blames the one before...

With a track record like yours, your opinion means little.

What matters is why have they reduced by £5k? What does the survey show? The reduction of the asking price is somewhat irrelevant unless you purposely accepted a lower offer than could be achieved.0 -

Mortgage lender says "Borrow now before it`s too late!" :rotfl:
Did they mention how sales volumes are doing, how many people are actually finding buyers for their homes when they want to get on with their lives?0 -
No explanation of the revised offer and wouldn't share the survey results so we'll put it back on the market. The property is below the average value for the area and there were several interested parties....
Thanks to all opinions.....0 -

You have a short memory, we discussed this just over a week ago... over 100,000 people in August and over 1 million in the last 12 months found buyers for their home and got on with their lives. Meanwhile you and your HPC friends still have your lives on hold while you continue to pay off your landlord's mortgage year after year after year...
