Paid for a carpet over a week ago and now company is not returning calls or emails

Hi all
On Saturday 28th October, my partner and I visited a well-known carpet retailer, selected a carpet and paid a deposit. The following Monday the carpet fitter (who is a separate entity from the Carpet retailer) came and measured our property with the promise he would call later with the quote for fitting.
The following day (Tuesday 31st October) the carpet retailer called me and confirmed the final quote. I paid the outstanding balance over the phone (just over 2 thousand pounds) on my credit card and was promised that I would be called later with a date at which the carpet would be fitted. I was also promised that all the paper work, receipt etc.) would be sent in the post. I was not called back and have since been calling/emailing with no response nor anything in the post.
I would like to know what my rights are and whether or not I can ask my credit card company to cancel the transaction based on the fact that company has not delivered the promised goods nor confirmed when the goods would be delivered?

Why not go back to the shop and have this conversation in person.0

Too early, as you weren't given a specific date then they have 30 days before it's deemed unreasonable to complete the service.0

Either, visit the shop or wait 30days and contact your card provider. Credit card i hope.0
