The room is no use to us (or probably anyone else) as it is.
You seem to want to convince them that because of YOUR taste, the house is not worth more than what you think it's worth. You might be right, you might be wrong, but I doubt you are the people to convince them one way or the other.0 -
I would not want to pay for a wardrobe room either. I dare say the majority of people would not .
I don't like astro turf either. Things are not looking too good at the moment IMO . .You have somewhere to live. We are at a tipping point with property ,it could easily be a repeat of the last real recession in the 80s 90s/ Just my opinion .0 -
I probably didn't explain very well, this isn't fitted wardrobes in a bedroom. It's a separate room downstairs, off the lounge, and only has wardrobes in. The room is no use to us (or probably anyone else) as it is.
I love walk in robes... although not downstairs I have to admit. If the area has shown 25% growth since it was last sold then 300 is a fair price without the refurbishment. Offer your 305 don't bother to justify it and see what happens.0 -
If the owners are separating, do they both wish to sell or is one desperate to sell and the other doesn't want to move? Friends had this and it took forever to get it completed as one party didn't want to do anything.0

I'd give it two weeks then offer £300k (but insist on keeping the curtains and any other fittings which are apparently such a selling point).0

The only way property is going is down IMO
Opinion has nothing to do with it - facts say otherwise!
OP, I would consider upping to 294 or something, but not 300. Make them feel like they're really stretching you, their only real interested buyer, and unlikely to get any more from you.0 -
I'd still be looking for a house with both living space AND garage!
Stick to your offer.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Facts are in many areas prices are down and property sales numbers are down. Wages are in a downward trajectory ..Retail sales down, landlords hit by new rules bailing out of the market.. Opinions and facts, fact is in most regions prices are heading downwards followed closely by peoples willingness to be holding the baby when the music stops playing. just saying not an opinon this time , just saying:A
OOH nearly forgot to mention BREXIT fears0 -
When house hunting, each time I have seen the garage 'cunningly' changed into another room I have promptly lost pretty much all interest in the place. Particularly when the 'up and over' door has been retained.0

Sellers in this case, as in many cases unfortunately, are just kite flyers, let them marinate in their own delusion for a while and view other properties, theirs will probably still be sitting there when you get back round to them.
