Equita letter

  • Hi,
There is no reference to either of these things on the back of the letter it just states that the signage at the car park contains further terms and conditions which those who park in the carpark agree to be bound And that I can appeal within 28 days of the letter.
    Thanks

Thanks for confirmation. Just continue to stay in ignore mode with Equita - they can do nothing other than send silly letters with absolutely empty threats. No one will come knocking at your door.

If you receive anything more from PE, do come back, but absolutely no need to do so if it’s yet another Equita threatogram.

PS - hang on to all that paperwork - especially the NtK - for 6 years, which is the length of time available to PE to pursue this through the county court. I’m 99% sure they won’t, but no one can give guarantees about what might happen between now and 2023.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • That’s great, thank you so much for your advice. I feel a little less worried now. I was just thinking that someone would come knocking at my door. I will come back if I receive anything else from PE as advised

It is unknown of for an "ignored" Equita letter to get passed by to PE. They dont bother using Equita for cases theyre confident on - they just go to court - however challenging Equita could see the file passed back.
