The Little House Company

Hi guys
My house has been on the market for almost two months now with a local estate agent and interest (viewings) have been almost non-existent. We have had one viewing only. We dropped the price last week by £13K but this hasnt made much difference. We have seen a property that we want to buy and the vendor has agreed to take it off the market for a short while to see if we can shift ours.
I have been told about The Little House Company website. They charge £135 for an unlimited ad. Has anybody had any dealings with these guys and do you think it's worth a shot?
While I'm here - if anyone is after a fab extended and fully modernised dormer bungalow in the heart of the staffs moorlands with lovely countryside views, three bedrooms, three reception rooms and 2 bathrooms, with a big garden and loads of parking, PLEASE contact me!!!
Thanks all.
xxx

Never heard of them. Most people look for houses on Rightmove. Seems pointless spending money advertising with a company nobody uses.

I used them about 5 years ago. At the time they used to put your property on Rightmove, but when I looked this year they don't seem to do that anymore, so I don't think it would be worth the money.

We sold in the end through an agent. The Little House Company asked if it was OK to mark us as Sold on the website, which I agreed to (not sure I would now). So although they have properties listed as sold on their website, you have no way of knowing if this was through them or through another agent.

Martin Lewis seems to have heard of them - they are recommended in the MSE guide to house selling:
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/mortgages/house-selling-tips

Rightmove don't accept private listings any more, so you will only find homes advertised through an estate agent on Rightmove.
  • why don't you add your current right move link up on here? you might get some really usefull comments about selling
