Switching banks with a Overdraft

Just a simple question which the banking sites don't seem
to make clear
If I move banks using the switching services will my
current overdraft me moved, or am I left to pay that
off directly with my old bank?
Ideally I don't want a overdraft at my new bank.
And would prefer to settle the old debt myself
to make clear
