Thank you for the advice above with regards to whether the cancellation would have affected us in future. That was really concerning us and was still a major factor in hubby deciding to stick with them for another 12 months, as he does fret and was still unconvinced that it wouldn't have a detrimental knock on
I know this is resolved now but it's worth pointing out that if you didn't renew or cancelled the policy they it would have ZERO effect on you in the future and you wouldn't have to declare it.
As stated in post #12 all they ask is if the insurance company cancel a policy, not if you cancel a policy. People cancel polices all the time for reasons such as changing cars etc and don't have to declare it.
But one thing i want to ask is why are you paying monthly for insurance (which costs more due to interest) if you can afford to pay it off in one go and save money?.0
