Paying in payable order from HMRC to my bank

Options
Hi all.

I've received a "payable order" letter from HMRC, to pay me back some tax.

It looks a little bit like a Giro cheque. Is this something I can take to Post Office (who I don't have a bank account with)? If they accept, would they charge commission?

Can I instead take to Tesco supermarket (who I do have a bank account with)?

Thanks!
