CEL Defence, Late PoC etc - Help Please

Did you get your defence filed in time?
If the POC were backdated and you kept the envelope that proved they were not posted when dated, PLEASE NOW forward the complaint you made to the CCBC, to another email address.
We need LOTS of these to fly into a specific inbox now:

Once that has been done, please confirm. We need to bombard the CCBC (specifically to Amanda Beck who is aware of this scam) with evidence about CEL.
Do this - even if you've already emailed a complaint - PLEASE forward it now!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Apologies for the lengthy delay in replying Coupon-mad.
Yes I filed my defence on time and yes I’d sent a complaint letter to CCBC with proof of postage and the backdating practise. I also filed a further letter of complaint alongside my defence about the general approach and conduct of CEL, requesting it be included in the court papers.
And, true to form, CEL ceased the claim after the DQ stage! Thank you so much for yours and everyone else’s help!!
I’d assumed this to be the end of it but I received another letter today, from my local court to where I’d requested the claim be heard, and I thought I’d share it as I’m not sure what it could indicate.
It stated that the court was dismissing the claim of its own initiative, not that the claimant had withdrawn as I would’ve expected.
I wondered whether you’d seen this before or if it might be a sign of a change in the way the courts are dealing with these cowboys?0 -

CEL always back down when a case is well defended, we find, you just have to call their bluff and it's not at all difficult. Anyone can do it.
Sounds like CEL forgot to tell the court that they's discontinued, and then let the case get struck out because they failed to pay the later hearing fee, or to return their own DQ, perhaps.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You could now ask for costs. If you don’t want the bother of a hearing you could ask the court to deal with it on paper, so all you need to do is set out in a letter all the reasons why you should get costs. Have a look at the example on peperlini’s thread which you can adapt (eg you may need to replace some of the Practice Direction references to the new Protocol, depending on whether your claim was pre- or post-1 October.Although a practising Solicitor, my posts here are NOT legal advice, but are personal opinion based on limited facts provided anonymously by forum users.
