I use one of these, its small and does not stick out too much if you want to carry the laptop around.

To be honest, when I buy higher memory usb's I tend to stick to known brand names like Sandisc. I have a 128gb usb from them with no problems.
Buy it from a known source like a shop or I have found https://www.mymemory.co.uk/ to be a good supplier with a wide range and always do good offers.
What ever you do don't buy off spec on Ebay unless you know the seller. Most cheap deals on there are fakes.The more I live, the more I learn.
