Has anyone else ever had floaters and flashing lights in their eyes. Started Saturday. Went to Optician who dilated my eye and said all seems OK but he's referring me. It's really annoying  Wonder if it will go away.

    Morning all

    This mornings conundrum.

I have got a Marks premier club voucher to spend £15 on beauty. I've just had a brief glimpse at the website, quite a lot reduced now and there seems to be an automatic £4 off wys £20 - possibly this wont work alongside my code though :(

I am assuming that Marks wont allow returns without receipts on beauty items so I was looking at practical things I could actually use myself.

I've seen a Twiggy eye make up set - all items I will use. There is a long gold box with shadows in - I got Twiggy glasses last year and they came with a gold glasses case so at least I would be co ordinated. I am wondering though if the gold box is just normal cardboard or its an actual tin

I've seen some perfume as well which would take the total over £20 - that is if the £4 off works - if not then it means my voucher is only worth £11 :(

also got an e voucher to use up as well

Can I ask a big favour please?

DD1 and her BF have set up a little online website selling hats. Would appreciate it if anyone could like their facebook page. TIA

I have, as a precursor to a migraine, a weird broken glass flashing effect in my left eye. Starts as a tiny dot then the outer circle gets wider until it has left my vision. Then my eye aches but usually ok after 15 mins, then the pounding headache starts :(. Mine caused by stress and the sun, always carry sunnies in my bag and in the car as the sun is so low this time of year.

Hope you’re ok and get it sorted :)

Yes I've had one since April - you sort of seem to learn to live with it so you dont see it as much. I've got an options appointment this week but I am pragmatic about it, hopefully I wont get an eye clinic appointment, really hate going to the hospital.
I would not care less if it was my eye with the very bad sight but its my one good eye.
Its supposed to be a sign of aging. I've also convinced myself a leg bruise is the start of varicose veins ...

    Thanks Hampy :)

I don't think its migraine. I've had migraines for 30 years and only once had flashing lights when I was pregnant. But that lasted 30 minutes and then went.

Optician thinks its the jelly in my eye shrinking ie getting older :(
  • Good morning lovely peoples

Thank you all for your supportive comments :A

My head is a little, if not a lot, more woozy than usual ( I don’t do normal lol) as I had a celebratory drink or two last night.

I don’t think it’s a good idea to decorate my cake as planned :o

    Keep safe and warm :A

BTW, when I was in Specsavers on Saturday I saw a leaflet about them removing earwax. Not by syringing like at the docs but by suction.

DH had this done a few years ago and it was very effective but was a three month wait on the NHS. If he needed it again it would be worth paying £35 not to be deaf for three months.

I have never seen this advertised and I told them they should make it more widely known
