Be careful of adding it to the cake....it could make the mixture too wet.
How about soaking and bottling some more fruit....or a trifle....or just drinking it:rotfl:
Thank you TM :A
That is a great idea - I shall soak my sponge fingers in it for the trifle :TFighting Recurring Cancer0 -
Good morning all, lots of rain overnight, still raining a bit now in Surrey/Hampshire borders.
I actually have time to put some Christmas decorations up today, and make the chestnut stuffing. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Morning all!
A good few inches of snow in Worcestershire today, I think it's the most I've ever seen since living here! Trying to work out whether I'll be able to justify working from home tomorrow if it hasn't cleared by then, but in the meantime I will be having a very festive pyjama day, consisting of tree decorating, crafting, wrapping, card writing and baking :santa2::xmassmile
JTS - if you have any left over, could you put it to one side and use it to feed the cake once it's baked?0 -
We went to John Lewis for coffee and cake yesterday.
Has anyone noticed this strange phenomenon?
People....generally elderly I have to say, put their bags and coats beside them and opposite where they are sitting, on the comfy chairs, reducing the seating for everyone else:o
I politely asked one couple if they would move their stuff so we could have a seat. They did it reluctantly:o
It’s as if folk are frightened to even have eye contact, never mind chat with their fellow humans.:oTo do is to be. Rousseau

Good morning everyone.
We have snow in North Wales, aswell, first time I have seen it on our garden in 20 years!!!!!!
I am not moving from here today, OH work and school will be called in the morning.
We had a not so bad journey up in the snow on friday other than a man driving the wrong way on the M54 luckily we were in the slow lane and he was in the fast lane, I have tried to see if anything happened but cant find anything, hope he got off without causing any injuries.0 -
Morning all
Snow here from 7am. I went out to try an AMEX shop at 8.15 (they didnt take AMEX lol) and was going to go elsewhere but turned round and came home. Roads seem slippy. Makes me wonder if they were gritted as snow wasnt forecast here.
Now light rain , so hopefully it will all melt away
Be careful everyone and hope 3 dogs didnt venture out after all :eek:0 -
