Well spotted Anon. Of course I meant 9 and the voucher. Today just a £5 M&S. Hope you got some good ones.

I hate to say it, but new young driver's insurance, where they are the main driver is never going to be cheap.

Adding a couple of older, low claim drivers as named (not main) drivers will help. As will driving a fairly new but low insurance group small car. Not much more you can do.

I don't think £1450 is unreasonable as a stand alone. You may be able to get cheaper if you multi car. I managed to get DS2's insurance down by adding my car to the mix. As it happens my renewal is 10 months into his year, so it's costing me £60 for those 2 months and that gives him a big discount.

    Thanks.
Tried all possible routes, today's quotes came in higher between 3500 and 14500.
On a Punto not a Ferrari. :rotfl:

After days of searching I've gone for the second quote! Just under 1500 but 500 excess for ds.
    Not very mse.

Thanks to everyone who has posted their experience it was really helpful.

    Vs M
    4x Candyland Black Jack Sweets (36g) £1.44 £1.00

Bought with Cadbury Chomp. 4 for £1 at M.

I don't know if Candyland Refreshers might work in mix and match - M have those don't they and aren't they 4 for £1? If they are, they might be less well as A's individual price is 31p:( but would count as one extra item.

I don't think Curly Wurly should properly be mixed and matched with Black Jacks/Refreshers - I think that is a different offer in M as several Cadbury products, including Curly Wurly, go from straight price to mbuy price and have been 4 for 80p before - currently 4 for £1. The Black Jacks are almost constantly 4 for £1 on their own offer with Dib Dabs and, probably, the Refreshers tubes (and Sherbet Fountain but that's not very good as that's 25p individual price in A). I think that's all in A's offer that are on the offer in M (M does have further ones that A doesn't have) and that there is a separate 4 for £1 in M on the chocolates, so I think full price M if you are mixing chocolates with sweets (other than the one trigger chocolate you choose), unless the collectors do like they have done before on the toothpastes and mix the offers up (probably less likely to happen than the toothpaste).

Curly Wurly gets 4 for £1 for M. The other non-trigger Cadbury chocolates in A's offer, whether or not they are being picked up for M, don't work out very well due to A's 25p individual price.

Also confirmed vs M (wasn't any real doubt about this):
    1x Batchelors Cup a Soup Golden Vegetable (82gr) £1.07 £0.75

    Evening peeps.

After moaning about sweet mandarin I have purchased 3 today, couldn't resist!
    £21 voucher though....

SA scanned my fillers and commented that she had purchased the same set in T yesterday for only £3.75 !
She asked if I still wanted them or should she put them back!

I said thanks for mentioning I'll put my receipt through the price checker.

Her reply was that instore purchases don't count you can only do apg on online shops.

    Talk about staff training.

That's the short version. Against S.

Alternative is 4x Curly Wurly and trigger 1x Cadbury Buttons, also against S.

On shops that are not done in Northern Ireland, against M Curly Wurly M 4 for £1, plus various other possibilities - I will eventually get all of the items onto the M list. Best is Black Jack Chews 36p each A vs 4 for £1 M with the trigger of either Cadbury Chomp OR Cadbury Buttons. HTH.
