  • I used to run, many moons ago, ended up swapping it for cycling as I got a little older and my running partner gave up. Rather glad as I ended up with runners knee, ended up ignoring it for a while thinking it would go away till it got extremely painful. Really didn't know what had caused it, it is improving gradually, the cycling is helping, but it was a bit of a reality check

It is frustrating isn't it! I've had several knee problems caused by running in the past. I used to ignore it but of course it never got any better. So now I know that when it happens I just have to completely stop running for 2-3 months and it goes away. The problem is that I just love running and racing so I don't want to give it up. :o

I've got another race this Sunday :D.

I loved running, but in the end I decided it wasn't worth the pain, especially as I really had taken it a bit too far.

I stick to cycling and walking now, we have a good walk on a Sunday, I cycle wherever I need to go though it tends to be short trips now, and walk in between cycle trips.

Take advantage of your youth while you can :D
