    Trip to Carlisle today

    successful shop at Sainsbury's :j

first shop £52 of clothes a £50 voucher and £2 cash.

second shop £146.64 of clothes, wine, gift and about £4 of "normal" food, used a £6 off a £30shop, triple points 2X £50 2X£20 all scanned no problem 64p to pay:D

next stop Marks, with my DH's spark card he had got his 20% off birthday bonus, £5 off a formal shirt and a 20% friends and family voucher I got in the post, £189 down to £114 :money: a few Christmas present bought.

Also Pack of chicken and some mince using £1 off £5 meat.

Then off Tesco found toilet roll SEL said £2.50 but hand scanner said 36p:D got to the checkout with 12 and they came up at £2.50
SA said they cant be 36p as new stock, said I would just leave them:rotfl:

Finally called at Asda, daughter was pleased to see they had the Halloween Jaffa cakes in the reduced shelve,:) though they were 50p, she had only paid20p:D last Wed when she was up at Hamilton.

That's a great shopping day apart from the T price difference.
This happened to me with the andrex.

Well I got most of my shopping in Sainsbury's but could not find a bag I liked even though I saw loads when it was 25% off & DD decided she did not want to go out after school so I still have £100 to spend at the weekend. I found it really difficult to find some item this year as the sizes I wanted were not there. I did get a couple in wrong size of same item that I can hopefully swap next week. I could have got in OH's dressing gown with him as they only has ExL & he needs a L.

Has anyone returned anything this year & how do they do it?

I had the same faff with only 2 x 50 being accepted at the till initally Ended up as overridden by cashier

DS got a switch and two games using the points and refunded me some of it Both happy

I still have 1x 50 to use and think some clothes Will pop by later

I am off to look at Amex again I am thinking Morries for xmas beer as I dont think we will get many really good buys because of our different laws

I've had a carry on in Sains tonight I was stood at the till for 30minutes:eek: yes a full 30 minutes as one of the coupons wouldn't scan. The people behind me were going off it:o

She could not find a single person to override the till as one of the coupons wouldn't go through.

I had £100 of wine and the same iron as fuzzy:)

She told me all about the shenanigans this morning and said that they were understaffed. They don't have supervisors now just colleagues. And bless her....the one colleague who was over riding was literally run off her feet.

She also told me that a lady went through her till earlier with tubs of Roses or quality street she couldn't remember which. She bought nothing else and double up vouchers were accepted.:think::think:

    Amex

I have been having a browse as my Sainsbury shopping is almost completed

The T&C on the wilko deal EXCLUDE gift cards I do not need enough from there at present so need to give that one a miss

I have £5 off £15 at WHS and wonder if anyone thinks/ knows if stamps would be ok I cant see any exclusions

Yesterday I hit whoopsie time and got DH 12 packs of sandwiches ranging from 30-55p Quite a bit of rtc veg/cold meat too Sadly it has filled up the small gaps I had managed to make in the freezer

Today no food stuff is being bought

Wasn't it mhoc who bought giftcards from Wilco?

Just thinking again about this. Perhaps there's loads of stuff goes through with the double up vouchers and we've been sold a lie all these years:rotfl::rotfl:

I mean who would ever try it?:D

    WH Smith 02 priority :)

I'm leaving the rest of my S shopping until Saturday. The shelves were still full this evening.
The next lot of wines I'm going for are the pricier ones for over Christmas:)
