Good morning
Do you have to use special bags with the vacuum sealer, please ?0 -
Morning all.
Can I ask about young driver insurance please?
Sons 2nd year renewal has come and is still around £1100. The problem with more than is the 7 journey in 24 hour rule and I've discovered that even when we swap cars around on the drive in the morning it counts as a journey so even I could rack up more than 7, as every time you switch the engine off it counts as another journey......
Would like to swap but wondering who to?
Plus there's a £85 fee to remove the black box.
Tia.
My son is in his 2nd year of young driver insurance, went down to £800 odd this year, he is with Co op Insurance, he gets a discount every three months if his score is good. Would definitely recommend.0 -

Thanks Sarah, I couldn't remember who you said last year.
Does it have a name as I know there's so many?
Sons has come down from 1460 to 1100 but as I said not happy with some of the criteria.curl girl with a space - even though there is no space in my cupboard!!!0 -

Not sure how it works, but could you not put someone else on the insurance, and then if they were driving it, would it not count as one of the 7 trips? (Also, an adult or two on as named drivers usually brings it down, even if they never drive it.)“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

Any issues then let us know on here and I/someone else will help. Chances are if you're encountering a problem then someone else is going through the same problem.
Morning everyone. :T
My Amazon pantry order is due today. It is going to arrive before 9 pm as promised, all correct, no damaged items and the delivery driver will be cheerful. My problem is that I will have nothing to complain about! :rotfl:“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. His Dad and I are both named on the policy as well, other wise it was nearer 2.5k on his own.
When I used his car when he was at college I did around 10 trips in 8 hours!
Even if you turn your engine off in a traffic jam and restart it's classed as a new trip.

Just looking at Marks sparks offers - renewed today
I have £5 off bras from the unused card valid for a week
the cheapest seems to be £10 so half price - not a bad offer
OH has
spend £10 on meat, poultry get £2 off
£5 off formal shirts
cheapest seems to be £15
sadly it does not work on the Marks Christmas fun shirts - sprouts, flamingos and surfing santas
spare card has
£6 wys £30 on ladies tops
Min card just has the 20% off - so there are disadvantages to having over 5000 sparks points - you get less useful offers on the 20% off weekends.
I might use OHs meat one as I've got a credit note expiring this month
3 of my cards have the £1 medium hot chocolate off which is a good offer - normally £2.65 but its not the luxury version with cream
I have been tweeting marks this morning as the picture with the offer clearly shows a hot drink with cream which is a gingerbread latte - def not part of the offer. They replied by saying the staff in stores would know what drinks were in the offer - no they would not - the staff will never have heard of the offer.
Savvy will know exactly what I mean about how vexing it is and how slap dash of Marks to have a picture with the offer which is not the actual drink on offer - technically against trades descriptions.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
