  • Morning all!

I went into W this morning as I still had 3x £2 off wys £10 coupons. The November mag is in stock but no others. So I drifted around for a little while trying to think of things that we needed. I got the brie and quinoa for GJ, and some washing up liquid. My vouchers expire on the 11th but I don't think I'll be using them as we don't actually need anything, and it feels like I'm just buying stuff for the sake of it.

Actually.....we do need coffee beans, so I'll take a look at the website. I bet they're still more expensive even with the voucher.....

I have just scanned one of my packets with MSM app, coming up as £2.50

Glad there were no one else in Dumfries buying it, I got 10 on Saturday,:) looked in after work on Sunday there were still 8 on the shelve so decided I would have them too ;)

Just had an email to say RSH will not be part of Clubcard after end of Jan.

On 31st January 2019, RedSpottedHanky will no longer be a partner of the Tesco Clubcard Scheme. This means that Tesco Clubcard points will no longer be redeemable against RedSpottedHanky vouchers.
In order to redeem your points, please create your RedSpottedHanky account using the same email address as your Tesco Clubcard account, before 31st December 2018.
Don't worry though, you have up until 31st January 2019 to redeem your current Tesco Clubcard points on our vouchers, and 6 months window to use them.

And another to say they are discontinuing their loyalty points.

RedSpottedHanky will not be continuing their loyalty points scheme into 2019. If you have loyalty points with us, don't worry, you have until the New Year to redeem them. Get the most out of your remaining points and redeem them all to use on your next journey.

    Are RSH in trouble?

Don't think they are - it's just the Clubcard boost they're ending. You do have a further 6 months from end of Jan to redeem them so still could be useful if you want to go on a train journey.

Remember RSH offering £10 free credit many years ago? I still have 2 accounts with credit on them. :o

    Morning everyone.

Thanks for all the tips from the elite for how to shop in waitrose with conditional spends. Did not think of the self-scan tills and paying for a coffee but not having one. Have a couple more to use before 11th so will try again soon. This grocery shopping is much harder work now than ever. No loo roll in the tesco I went to today but love seeing everyone's elses photos.

I pay for tea then help myself to teabag, sugar and a serviette as I don't like their coffee :)
  • Coffee beans would actually be a good buy for me in Waitrose. The cheapest is a 200g bag of Starbucks beans for £3.55.....so with mag, paper, cappucino I'd just have to find something for 35p to bring me up to £10.

Don't mind me....I'm just mumbling to myself really.....
  • By the way, did anyone get an email from GJ last night saying they'd be selected to test out a 'new supermarket'? I did, and I activated it, but I can't see any new supermarkets. I've probably missed something obvious somewhere.....
  • Don't panic....it turns out I just had to update my app, and now Iceland has appeared. Although there are no offers visible for it at the moment. I think I need a second coffee, I'm not feeling very awake this morning.

Last night I did a session down at the running track of 800m hard, 200m recovery, 300m hard, 200m recovery, then repeat another 5 times. My legs are feeling dead this morning and it seems as though my brain is too....

Energy Switch complete - I have ended up going with Pure Pl4net on a variable tarrif, as it will be over £100 a year cheaper than the nearest fixed deal and no penalty to leave should it shoot up (with notice). Also £25 Am4zon to switch through referral for referrer and referree :).

It has gone very smoothly - quick sign up, communications all the way and Ijust had to provide a meter reading with a photo of the meters on the day before the switch.

I will see how it goes. MSE Cheap Energy updated to reflect this change, so I will be notified if something cheaper comes along and happy/free to move again.

I ended up keeping my leccy with OFTM and moving my gas where the fix was ending to the cheapest fix which was...So Energy (he says having had to check back through emails to remember) which as well as being cheapest was only a fiver penalty if I want to leave early. Switching both would have cost £100 pa more. The gas fix was 19% higher than last years fix

The weekly VC email shows a special offer right at the bottom - £25 Am4zon for a £5 N3w Look spend from 11am on Friday.

£25 Amazon for £5 spend in New Look sounds like the wrong way around?!
    I think....
