Is there any rhyme or reason to these T hand scanner checks at the till?
Just I’ve had two in a row in two days now, wondered if they were picking on me lol.

When I was in T last week they'd put signs up in the hand scanner area saying that they were temporarily increasing checks due to lots of people 'forgetting' to scan some items recently.

My DD2 used to work on this dept a few years ago and said that if you scan then remove a certain percentage of your shop (as in price checking) it will trigger a check.

I was most dissapointed with my first visit to a T superstore in readiness for coupons that are being sent by the Elite :A - you know who you are -hoping they arrive tomorrow !!
The freezers were broken so no ice cream, the tuna was all full price despite me trying it again and again, lol plus there were no BBQ crisps either.
How on earth is one supposed to shop for nought (or nearly) with this sort of shower ? xx

Pretty sure it us when you scan things and return them, I tend to use the scanner for price checking, then just put it back (clear), got fed up with having to wait lol, it's easier going through a manned checkout with coupons anyway.

I think its random so sometimes you get a couple (or a few in a row) or else you go weeks without a check. I had a check on a one item loaf of bread shop - so I don't think its based on value either.
