    Evening all

Sainsburys was disappointing. All I got was two lots of 500 and the rest were 200 pointers from swipe and win.
I did four lots of £10 petrol and one cat food shop - six cans x4 and milk - they have put up the cat food 10p :(

On the plus side one of the shops produced an 80 bonus till spit for Arla organic milk - the nice milk which was on COS in the summer. Its on offer again but £1.35 instead of £1.25 that it was in the summer. The full fat version tastes yum in porridge and muesli -we'd not tasted full fat milk before it was on COS so it was quite a revelation

At least both cars have full tanks and we have cat food cans for a couple of weeks - some weeks its about the only thing we buy so if we dont need to go it stops impulse buying.

I am quite tempted to get some Argos gift cards tommorow. Its a pity they dont sell John Lewis £10 gift cards that could be used in Waitrose

Last year they sold £10 Argos gift vouchers which was great but the lowest I've seen is £15:(

    Good Morning all :)

Good morning - blinking chilly here too, I can see a thin layer of ice outside

Savvy - if I had put washing out, it would be frozen :rotfl:

On oooo2 this weeks Nero offer is buy a toastini and get one free so after we had been to Sainsburys and Marks this morning that's where we went.

Some of the toastini s are £4.95 but others - mozzarella/tomato and chicken/bacon are £3.95 so we got these 2.
Also 2 large hot chocolates with cream.
I had a couple of free drink cards which they sent me when we had poor service (this Neros is fabulous so it was a total one off situation) so I used these.
Then a bill of about £14  was whittled down to £3.95 and I used a gift card to pay
Also got a couple of loyalty stamps which I value at a notional 30p each as we got hot chocolate for £3.15 - just need another one now for a full card.
(not sure what the issue was but my 00002 qpR code for the toastini would not scan but she put the numbers into the till and even that didnt work - she fixed it anyway. Something to bear in mind - ask the service if your choice will work firstly)
Anyway £3.95 for two hot chocolates and 2 toastinis were very warming on a bitterly cold Saturday morning and we had a nice chat with eldest child while we were there.
Much nicer breakfast than spending £4 on a couple of Greggs breakfast meal deals -actually OH seems to think its now £2.20 rather than £2 but I suppose it depends in where you are in the country.

Too much to hope this crostini deal will be running the weekend we are in Southampton next. Or when we visit Eldest child.

Just wondering if Sainsburys sell Neros gift cards and if they would trigger a swipe and win bonus till spit ...

    No they don't :o

My challenge with the washing is, of course, still continuing, in my attempt at saving money by no longer drying clothes on radiators indoors. We've had a few bad days of weather lately but I have decided that today is the day to do the washing:huh:! Wish me luck. They've changed their mind slightly again though - increasing by a few percentage the chance of rain for me overnight but now deciding there is less chance of rain before sunset today. I shall be getting the clothes out to be there before sunrise. I thought that when I put some in the machine a little while ago, they would be ready by ten past one. It's now nearly quarter to two. But, I shall see, they'll still be ready by ten past one:D.

So there we are - clothes already well in the wash at quarter to two to be ready within the hour at about ten past one:rotfl::j:T

Weather will be cold but dry is my reckoning. People will think I'm being daft but I'm giving this one a go to see how well (if at all:rotfl:) it works. The washing has supposedly all today and all tomorrow to dry - rain is forecast for me on Tuesday. Actually it felt a bit chilly earlier (at about 8 and 9 o'clock yesterday evening (Saturday in my terms of course)) but it now seems to feel a bit warmer:huh:.

I also saw the moon when I went out a short time ago. Wonder what happens to the moon when the clocks go back - does it like... move back to where it was one hour earlier?:rotfl::rotfl::D

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: to the bit about the moon

It didn't really take me that long tweets, I think it was Savvy that suggested an hour :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
