Alternative to chocolate advent calendar thanks to OP on HUKD

    https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/wickford-co-advent-calendar-at-home-bargains-399-3091196

Just read only 4 different flavours though, that might be bit disappointing...

Well I've done the test with the loo rolls. :o

Actually for the price quite surprisingly they are pretty strong. :T

Without going into too much detail for those interested no holes appeared while wiping. :o :rotfl:

But you do need 5 sheets compared to 3 of Andrex...

Off to the jumble sale, hopefully get some free crisps while there. :D
  • Went to Delamere forest the other day, got a bag (doggie bags are great, empty of course) of chestnuts. Put them in the oven this morning but was a bit lax on making slits in a few so just waiting for oven to cool before I can get the hoover attachment in there to clean up the mess.:D:D:D:D:D
The one's that didn't explode are scrum. :)
  • I've got yet more chai on COS! I claimed three from it yesterday and they're back again!

Where in the store is this? Can't find it in any I visit.

Ooops  Got some chestnuts a few weeks ago from a local early tree, they are still sitting there. Think we overdid it last year, and I have enough chestnut stuffing in the freezer to last a few years, and pealed chestnuts for other uses. If only someone would invent an easy way to peel them I would be a lot more willing :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Been on a crisp run, got 6 packs of cheese and onion this time. We now have enough crisps to last quite a while, also got some Dr Oetker egg white powder and chocolate stars, 2 of each, shopping came to 40p and the cashier was delighted :D
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare

Just had a look at my AmEx statement and there are new offers to opt into

I know that everyone gets different offers and its annoying when someone gets an offer you could use but its not on your list!

I've got get a £50 credit when you spne d£250 at Hilton hotels - certain ones from a list. There is some discussion on Head for Points that this might be accumulative so it could be £250 spent over several bookings.

Also spend £200 at Handpicked hotels and get a statement credit of £50 - use their link as it might have a cookie in it. It says pay at checkout, not sure about this ...
This has got potential as there are several offers on the website - eg Sunday night specials with afternoon tea and 3 course dinner - might make a nice pre Christmas break
(we went to Armthaite Hall last year just before Christmas and it was fabulous)

I've also got spend over £500 on Cunard online by 31/12/2018 get £100 credit - again this has got potential -maybe a large deposit or a long weekend or if you are going within 90 days and you are paying the full amount ...

I find mine in the chilled drinks next to the sandwiches. There's a map on Shopmium which should you which stores are included. The only one near me is a little one in the middle of town. The two big supermarkets near me apparantly don't stock it.
