    Good morning cookmates

Wrote this little poem when at the airport lounge. Even a bench deserves a good word once in a while :)

    The Bench

How many people have visited me?
    I couldn't count, I couldn't see.
From young to old, and those in between
The bold, the shy, the kind, and the mean.

Some quiet, some loud, that jumped up and down
Some happy, some sad, that wore a big frown.
Some kicked, some scratched graffiti to show
Their love, or hate for someone they know.

Through the months, the seasons, the years,
The smiles, the laughter, the crying and tears,
Silent and strong, devoted and true,
Always waiting, to support all of you.

    Too true.....

Good luck with your treatment JTS.

    Morning all.

  • Good morning all, cloudy one and a bit on the cool side.

Our nearest store didn't have any :( and I haven't the time to go on a road trip. I did notice the same size box with 40 washes in (alongside the other 45 wash boxes of this size), so it appears this could be a shrinkflation excercise - effectively an 11.11% price rise.

You'll be glad you didn't rush out - they've been around for the best part of a month.

Morning all. Where would you use a timer please? I had one in my upstairs landing but now it has been replaced by the free Hive light, but I don’t want lights going on in rooms without the curtains drawn together as it just shows they are empty.

I have one that I plug the slow cooker into if I go out too early to turn it on, some things need less than all day to be cooked right.

I spotted a lovely Faberge necklace in a jewellers window today, a shop with no price tags.
Just looking online and it was £7455.00
One necklace in the range comes in at a mere £40,500.
    Another world........

Always remember when I was in New York with DD, we popped into Tiffany's (as you do lol) and she saw a lovely diamond tennis bracelet, she asked if she could have it as it was only $100, the other 3 zeros were covered by something, it was $100,000 - it was rather nice though :rotfl::rotfl:

I am becoming more selective with what I chase after these days - too much time spent in some cases for little gain :o.

Am I the only one who is struggling to keep up? These odd £2.50 for £2.50 deals on Q etc just catch me out - I need time to get sorted, not respond instantly :(. I also want reassurance that the previous ones that I used with W1lko pay out, or they turn out to be not so cheap toilet rolls :o.

Sorry about that everyone😏 I normally check things out for myself but it had only just been posted & I checked no one had posted on here. Possibly they had a month ago & I didn’t check back far enough. I’ll research better next time..... I was a tad excited I had something to post😊

I'm feeling the same. I didn't bother with the Q offer yesterday. Partly because of the hassle trying to think of something to order, and partly because I'm not sure yet if I'll even see these £2.50s!

I went into Ts this morning and got crisps and the icing. Two of the icing flavours have TMF on them. On the RTC shelf there were loads of pulsin bars down to 36p. I noticed that they're on COS today but as mine were reduced I doubt it'd be accepted. I might just try anyway. There was also some wrapping paper reduced to 25p and the 3 for 2 still came off. I know this has been reported on here before.

It was a chilly ride in today!
  • Holey moley, I just snapped my receipt and the cash back has been accepted already. 85p back!
