The time it took me to explain, it would have been quicker me driving home from work and doing it myself:rotfl::rotfl:

    Good evening all!

I popped into Sainsburys earlier to buy some Fairy Platinum with the SSM voucher. They'd run out of the small £1 bottle and only had the £2 bottles so I left them and consoled myself with a couple of tuna fillers instead.

I also went to Waitrose to use a conditional spend but they had NO mags in there . My plan B was to buy cat food which is in offer there but then I really couldn't face cycling 12 miles home with a 3kg bag of cat food along with all the other stuff that I had with me, especially as I'd just done an hour of intervals on the running track! So I left again. :o

My plan tomorrow is to go to Tesco to look for crisps, icing, and those fruity drinks on Shopmium.

Ah yes, and go to work ;).
I'm planning work around crisps again today :rotfl:

I've never spent so much time in a Teskies ever:rotfl:

Morning all. Where would you use a timer please? I had one in my upstairs landing but now it has been replaced by the free Hive light, but I don’t want lights going on in rooms without the curtains drawn together as it just shows they are empty.

Being a bit of a dinosaur with technology, I wouldn't have a clue with Hive :o

I still use them here and there when away (bathroom) and in lounge on TV/lights, even though my neighbour comes and closes/opens curtains/blinds.

When we were burgled back in 2009, policeman advised timers in bathroom, lounge lights/tv and kitchen not the landing/hall as obvious

  • Today from noon and if not used today, tomorrow from noon too.

Wrote this little poem when at the airport lounge. Even a bench deserves a good word once in a while :)

    The Bench

How many people have visited me?
    I couldn't count, I couldn't see.
From young to old, and those in between
The bold, the shy, the kind, and the mean.

Some quiet, some loud, that jumped up and down
Some happy, some sad, that wore a big frown.
Some kicked, some scratched graffiti to show
Their love, or hate for someone they know.

Through the months, the seasons, the years,
The smiles, the laughter, the crying and tears,
Silent and strong, devoted and true,
Always waiting, to support all of you.
