Anyone got the customer care telephone number for Microsoft?
Spent 10 minutes with an engineer on the phone from 01276421189
telling me my computer was sending them error messages. When I eventually got my computer up and going he hung up when I asked what windows has to do with an apple computer. How rude!

On a serious note, what on earth are the government doing to stop these nuisance calls from abroad that dupe people into losing money and hurting those unable to fend them off?

Or is a wee man sitting in the Indian suncontinent outwiting a whole country and it's "intelligence" services?

It is difficult to control calls from overseas, our laws do not apply to them.

If I get one and am in the right mood I have a bit of fun, things like saying my windows are open but I am now getting too cold, I even managed to get one to hang up on me, cross questioned him asking him to describe the build of the virus, he of course came out with nonsense and I told him that he should not be able to see that on my laptop, he replied that he could see it through special equipment they had and would remove it if I gave him access, I told him that he didn't quite understand, I was building it in my sandbox. The spoilsport then rang off :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

My aim is to make their phone bill as big as possible, I have been known to have them hanging on for 15 minutes because my computer is very slow to load up and maybe they can help with that. No idea when that one hung up, went out after that with the phone still off the hook, they had hung up when I got back a couple of hours later.
