Good evening all! I just got back from a very tasty carvery at Toby's. Well, we had a 12 mile cycle to burp it off first. Today and tomorrow they are launching their new menu so there is 50% off all mains if you have their app. I then paid with the Mastercard that I'd linked to the ICE thingy that was on here a few months ago. It refunds up to £10 back to your card. Myself and my husband also signed up to the Toby's mailing list and got a free bottle of Old Mout cider each. So the total bill was £6.99 for two carveries and two ciders. Except that I'll get that £6.99 back :-). I overfilled my plate a bit and decanted the remainder into a handy tupperware tub that had my lunch time sandwiches in today. So I've got lunch for tomorrow too :-D.0

Is MSE playing up for anyone else?
No, but morrisons.com is. I am just trying to look on there...Mysupermarket is rubbish
But M&M 238g bag working ok against M's
1x Fairy Original Washing Up Liquid Dark Green (1350ml) £2.50 £2.00 <<< 50p SSM voucher
1x M&M's Chocolate Large Bag (238g) £1.50 £1.00
1x McVitie's Digestives Thins Milk Chocolate (180g) £1.69 £1.00
1x Sudafed Congestion Headache Relief Day & Night Capsules (16s) £3.50 N/A <<< suppose to compare @ £3
1x Orajel Mouth Ulcer & Denture Pain Gel 5.3G (5) £3.50 N/A <<<< suppose to compare @£3
1x Pink Lady Apples (4pk) £2.00 £1.35
1x McVitie's Digestives Thins Dark Chocolate (180g) £1.69 £1.00
2x Jacob's Baked Cheddar Cheese Biscuits (150g) £1.50 £1.50
1x Fairy Antibacterial Washing Up Liquid Eucalyptus (1050ml) £2.50 N/A <<<<50p SSM voucher used.
1x M&M's Crispy Large Bag (213g) £1.50 N/A
...for the Orajel gel as I have no trace of this for M on msm, so couldn't see where this was supposed to compare to £3 M. In fact, I can see now (on msm) - it looks like the wrong one was bought:(. gocat, have you got the blue one? Ulcer & Denture pain. You needed the red one, Dental Gel, according to msm showing £3.
Msm is usually pretty good (assuming it has picked up the correct item) as it takes information from the websites of the stores. This often misses items at their best price however, as the best price is when they go onto a good RTC price and items often disappear from online as they go onto RTC instore. The precise moment when it would be best to buy the product therefore, it is absent from the store websites and msm can't pick it up.
I think the Sudafed is an RTC item that is no longer in the collection stores. The Fairy Eucalpytus, which was on £2 RTC at one stage, but went up to full price before going onto £2 offer price, is therefore not on RTC but is on offer price and is probably on the aisle ends of some of the price collection stores so they haven't picked it up:( but the Original WUL happens to have been put into the regular aisle stock of one or more of the collection stores so it has compared. It is so haphazard, as there are different placings in different stores; I have seen stores that just have the WULs that are on offer on the aisle ends but some also have them in the regular aisle - some of mine have full price SELs on regular aisle stock but £2 offer on the aisle ends and I have just been hoping they were still all £2 each as that is what they seemed to be.
It's therefore probably the collection stores being incomplete on one or two of the items you bought; they probably have the Eucalyptus WUL in at least one but on an aisle end only resulting in the collectors not having it, and sadly the wrong Orajel purchased.
The M&M's Crispy bag isn't glitching (again M does have a large M&M's Crispy bag but it is on the aisle ends so N/A - it could be a different weight so technically N/A but I think N/A anyway due to being an item not always in M that's come onto the aisle ends until stock eventually gets exhausted) but the Chocolate Bag got £1 last Wednesday.
I think it is unlikely to do so again as, if the collectors have seen a large bag in the aisle where the small bag should be (and probably are around it), it's likely to have gone now and items are moved around every day in M. I went to my nearest M as part of a price collection a few Wednesdays back but then remembered I needed to buy something from M so returned to the same store the following day, only to find more items that I hadn't got there the previous day. So, they change in under 24 hours sometimes:(.
Sorry the shop didn't work very well.0 -
Quidco £2.50 bonus for spending £2.50. How come your mind goes blank when you have an array of shops to choose from? I bought a couple of toiletries in Boots and it tracked straight away. Quidco says allow an hour for purchase to go through, so anyone trying for the bonus today may want to complete purchase by 11pm to make sure it goes through in time.

A family member wanted a lift back home tonight, so I took the opportunity to do an unplanned visit to a third M, stopping briefly on the journey out to them. One of the things I looked for was the Flash 3 for £2 offer, now extended until November according to m.com earlier tonight. Third store and... same result, now no mbuy showing on the shelving:(.
So, I do now think this is going to stop working on the APG on the items on which it is currently working today and won't work anyway on the items it is currently not working on. It can't be coincidence that all three of the stores I have visited today happen to have lost the mbuy from their displays at the same time. Clearly something has happened as the offer was due to have expired today but online has shown an extension. The offer could now be an online-only offer or it could still be on instore behind the SELs but stores not showing it. If most of their stores that have trace of each product on which they haven't been OOS for too long are not showing the mbuy, or not showing it on some of the items, then the APG will get straight price:(. The 400ml Flash gels seem even worse than the two 60 pack wipes. I would not be giving you 3 for £2 anymore on the gels; I'd be giving for 3 for £6.96:eek:! Individual price of £2.32 is now more expensive than the 3 for £2 offer that was showing last week.
I went to the further M as I wasn't happy with the prices showing in my "Morliny/ Mkelovita" store earlier. They never change the displays on world deli. foods items in that store. That's not quite true, as they did change them - eventually - to show what was, until yesterday, the current offer on the items. "Was" the current - yes, that's right, sure enough, items on that section have, it now seems to me, changed prices. My earlier store showed no change at all but this one now - items have gone up in price and a whole range of new offers none of them yet showing in the earlier store!
A third store therefore supposed to resolve a handful of outstanding queries. It's stupid though, as visiting another store, even if it's one I visited only last week, gives me yet more items that I didn't have at the previous stores. So I have now got some additional items - the earlier store told me only that some Party Favours items had gone down to 25p RTC and I take it that it's all the ones I have on the list currently at now expensive() 50p:rotfl:. The additional store reveals a whole host (well, actually only three but I suspect there are many more that I don't have, so left in a hopeless state of incompleteness again) of other items have now gone onto 50p RTC, including some Party Balloons (might T have some that still work out cheaper even on standard prices? - M's 10 pack - do T have 30?).
Separately, I no longer think that M has 35 DVDs, or whatever number I had earlier, on £3. I now think there are several more, and, probably, many more. My early store today (clearly I had visited far too few stores last week - those 12 stores were clearly not enough and woefully incomplete:rotfl:) had several additional titles showing £3. There were also more that had no SEL at all, and not able to scan them all and I didn't bother scanning any of them, I have concluded that all the ones that have no SEL in my store are also probably £3 each. Indeed, a couple of the ones with missing SELs, I have seen showing £3 elsewhere. Careful on some of the others as it turns out that some of them do actually have SELs, although they are on a different part of the shelf to the stock and they are higher price SELs; however some have no SEL at all and I have concluded they are £3. A couple of those were in the "best sellers chart" racking and I found it harder to believe that popular ones in there could be £3. However, I saw one SEL-less video is in the chart and I do have that at £3 already from other Ms so I think it is conceivable that a very small number in the chart are £3, namely the few without SELs today in my store. I do think I will most probably turn out right (then again doesn't everyone?:rotfl:) as I am implying from incomplete information at my stores what is probably clear elsewhere and, if anyone is, I am experienced in doing this right by now - so my decision they are probably £3 is likely spot on.
I have also decided that my further store, which has signage £5 and Any 2 for £8, means that all of the videos in that section are £3 each. The only clue is a sign on another side saying Clearance - last chance or something very similar and in there are several videos that I already have at £3 and a few more. I have decided that all of them, that I don't already have, are very likely £3.
I don't know why I am going for this at £3, even though it is supposedly last chance. I had some CDs in M on £1 for a long time. Afterwards I didn't see them for some months. Then some turned up, in one store only for me, for probably less than half the price (46p comes to mind for some reason but could be out on that a bit). I did actually see, in over 80 stores, that one other store also had them at that best price I saw for me at the times I which I visited. So, it may well not be strictly last chance but they could be around somewhere much later going cheaper, although it will probably not be many places at that stage and the selection still available by then will be very limited. In effect, though, it does seem that, for most people, generally, £3 will be the best price found in their store. Unless they decide to put them onto something cheaper:rotfl:.
I think there are at least 50 separate titles currently available for £3 from M (even if not all of them your M(s)) and probably many more. Someone may have seen my list this morning and said "No, I have a whole host of DVDs in my store that you haven't got!" I now have more, and will be adding them, but I bet someone will still find at least one, probably a whole set more, that I haven't had. If it's like my experience, I visit another store - and find further ones I didn't have. I have stopped visiting more stores:rotfl:. If some more turn up in some stores I go to on Wednesday, then I will add those and then that will be it - that'll be the ones I have found.
Yet again, more items that about 90% of people can't find in their store:rotfl:.0 -
I managed to get "a few" M&Ms today .
Be careful as some of the packs don't have the promo on.
Also got a few Q orders through for W1lco just before midnight.
