Apples still working - idea was to try to get three different varieties but ended up with three the same as that was all my store has:(. I still bought three bags as my spend was committed - they will all get eaten though. I could have had a pack of lightbulbs instead of a bag of apples if I had been in the right store, but my shop would not have given me as much APG back. I may have to buy some different apples from T.

12 items (8 different) on your receipt qualify for comparison Asda tesco
3x ASDA Farm Stores Apples (Colour and Variety may vary) (500g) £2.25 £1.41
    1x ASDA Fig Rolls (200g) £0.39 £0.36
    3x Maoam Giant Strawberry Stripes (1pk) £0.30 £0.25
    1x Haribo Starmix (1pk) £0.10 £0.09
    1x Swizzels Refreshers Original Lemon Flavour (18g) £0.10 £0.08
    1x Barratt Flumps (12g) £0.10 £0.08
    1x ASDA Vanilla Slices (230g) £1.15 £0.95
    1x ASDA Sunflower Oil (1l) £1.09 £1.10
Comparison total (compared products only) £5.48 £4.32
    +£1.16 cheaper

Thank you Savvy - very helpful to know about the apples as we get through lots every day.

    Evening All,

I spent my last APGs yesterday on my normal shopping. Thinking it would probably be my last visit there for a long time, I wandered around thinking about all the glitches from the past.
I even went down the gluten free aisle to see if they still sold UDIs. Anyway I've just checked my receipt for old times sake not expecting anything but it has generated a £6 APG so looks like I will be going back after all.

You probably already know this but the interesting one for me was the 2 large packs of M&Ms (Sweet Sundays packet), it works out at £1.80 for a free cinema ticket.

Just bumping this in case anyone missed it last night and you are collecting stars for Sweet Sundays - it will likely end after today as the price is a glitch v M.

just wondered if anyone had tried the M&M's today? :)

Yes, I tried them at lunchtime.

    And the answer is...
Of course they are absolutely fine right now:
    2x M&M's Chocolate Large Bag (238g) £3.00 £2.00

Doesn't look like any need to buy two, but I wanted two anyway.

Fwiw, I have them on the list against real M price of £1.50 each. However, I notice today that the large bags in M are 250g so I shouldn't have had them linked up at all. I think they were 238g in M on some previous incarnation. As it seems they should be N/A, the collectors have obviously picked up something else - probably the smaller bag - in error.

This is still fine - double-sized rolls in A vs M's pack size is "tiny". Need to buy in twos to get M mbuy price. Possible mix and match with white kitchen rolls, but don't know whether that is still working. Decorated roll picks up individual price of £1.24 for M.

    2x ASDA Shades Decorated Kitchen Towels (2roll) £4.00 £2.00

Last chance it seems on the Flash wipes, as M's mbuy looks to be off in M. I was going to buy three lemon, but I couldn't see any at all in my A. Trying to trip me up by having loads of Orange wipes but I am having none of those at all. I therefore had to choose the antibac ones only, and found there to be six packs in stock. Just the six I needed:rotfl:!

    6x Flash Antibacterial Wipes (60pk) £6.00 £4.00

M's mbuy was 3 for £2, so could buy three.

EDIT: Oh. Mbuy in M rolled over to 23rd November according to online. But there we have the potential issue - lost the mbuy on my SELs in my M, due it seems to the offer being due to end but not actually doing so. So, fine at the moment, but I would give the next collection a miss and ordinarily would then wait to see if they settle down to having the mbuy put back on display in M but, as the APG is ending, this may now be the last time they get the M mbuy on the APG, although I have only seen two Ms. I have found both lost the mbuy from the regular aisle shelving (I wrongly didn't trust the aisle ends on this as those areas can be changed late).

The toiletries 4 for £3 offer is off it seems in M and has disappeared from online - items such as a couple of Colgate products, plus Sure Motionsense women and men 150ml and I doubt the Lynx shower gels will work. Now onto £1.50 on some 400ml Lynx gels but they should not work yet vs M.

Fwiw, the 80 pack Finish Lemon dishwasher tablets that were £9 in M last week - offer is off already it seems, together with some 64 Quantum pack that didn't have time to get to the list. So, probably last time on any attempt Avs M.

    I wonder how long before I;
can go to Asda without looking in every trolley
smile when there are no litter pickers about
    or trolley dollies
rejoice in a dry but windy day

it will be a hard habit to break!! x
