Well I know the idea isn't to stock up in advance for froctober and I haven't really done that as I would have taken advantage of the pork offer and the ocado offer anyway, but boy our freezers are stuffed :T
From Oc I got lots of beef stew, Turkey steaks, mince etc so tomorrow I'll spend a few hours cooking and freeze some meals. I always think stews and chillis taste so much better for sitting in a fridge or freezer first.
I may put one of the pork joints in the slow cooker today but I've never done that with leg only shoulder.
I wish I'd bought some braising steak now I've seen what westie is having :rotfl: yum yum.
How's DD Di? Any better?
I'm up for Froctober too:T:T
Do you know what? My freezer is a mess at the moment. It needs a good sort out. I have a load of those Tesco butters we got free years ago and 10p ready meals we may never eat taking up a full drawer.
I was having this conversation with Elaine the other day and I glanced into her trolley. She had all the McVities biscuits for Shopmium and then whoopsied veg. I told her to make sure she separated her shopping. She said " I am an expert you know":rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'm baking for England today.....well the Macmillan coffee morning to be precise:)
Remember to take some cash into work tomorrow folks as you might be asked to eat delicious home made cake and make a small donation.
And if there isn't a coffee morning at work, use the map to find one near you:)

Pleased the lawns got cut yesterday. We were thinking it might be the last but fine weather is reappearing towards the end of the week:T
I have a theory that if I ignore the fact that winter is coming it might just go away:rotfl:
So I am stretching the evenings with work down the field and then some cooking and baking with a little bit of planning around a little project I'm working on. I'm fighting off the urge to collapse on the settee when I get in from work. There'll be enough time in January for that:rotfl:
How are the family you're sharing it with doing? I bet its made such a difference to their summer.
You need a walnut tree. I must have 100 plus walnuts this year I don't know what I'm going to do with them all, they would be great for your baking.
I may ask Bargainqueen about making a walnut liqueur. She makes the nicest limoncelo I have ever tasted.
Dd is doing ok thank you she said she feels like she's been hit by a bus. The doctor said she has concusion and pooling of b###d around her eye and at the side of her head. Her boss is a complete fool though and shows absolutely know sign that he thinks its anything to do with his pub however he was cleaning the floors when she called on Thursday with a sick note. He was shocked that she wasn't going in this weekend but I wouldn't stand behind a bar with a black eye either.
Bubbs I've messaged you about Ocado save you reading back braveheart posted a discount code the other day.0 -
Di, your poor DD
sounds horrendous, hope she is on the mend soon.

Morning!
I'm on my phone which doesn't seem to allow me to quote other people's posts, but I used the SSM voucher on Aussie which was on 3 for 2 in Asda yesterday and they took it with no problems, despite it saying not to be used in conjunction with another offer :-).
It's raining here :-(. Luckily we have a lot of house jobs to be getting on with. Our woodburner and carpet are finally being installed next week so we have to get the living room sorted out. Finally, after 6 months we'll finally be able to move back into our living room! For the last 2 months we've been using the tiny spare bedroom as a living room, and before that it was just the downstairs hallway!0 -

I haven't been keeping up too well but thought things were sorted with mam.
You ok?
I just keep plodding. Things are sorted with mum.
But you wouldn't think so with mum I only visit Thursday Saturday and Sunday and seems like all week.
I also dread it when my phone rings and see it says mum
As us Northerners would say she trying to lead me a merry dance and last weekend Sunday afternoon aunty Hilary had a word with mum when we both visited and I went to make the brews in kitchen/dining room :cool:0 -
