Just been following a discussion on another group about soup makers - Tefal v Morphy Richards
- which ones keep things warm
- can you freeze them.
- can you use beans and pulses if you soak them
Also £30 seems to be the best price
Very tempted but as always looking for a bargain and not keen to pay full price for anything ...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
When I was looking for a photograph, look what I came across......Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

I have a Morphy Richards. Basic but good. Quite funny, got it off Amazon (Nectar points bought an Amazon gift card in S). A few weeks later it seemed to go wrong, Amazon sent out another and said to dispose of the first one safely. Thought we would check it before we got rid and turned out the safety interlock had been activated, so we now seem to have a spare

So I've been under the stairs and looking at our nice array of Schwartz herb jars in search of Italian herbs but I could only find mixed herbs
but looking at the labels there is not much difference - just need a tiny bit of sage and parsley and maybe a bay leaf ...some experimentation needed.
And in view of the impending Twine shop closure  I did a wine stock check - 3 bottles of posh fizz, 6 bottles of very expensive white to save for Christmas and a dozen red, again all expensive ones - my gang are red drinkers anyway so Christmas is sorted.
But I also found 2 cheap and cheerful reds :T for immediate consumption and there is a secret stash of Oyster bay hidden behind the sofa - def for personal consumption and not for Christmas.
Not that we have been drinking that much since coming back from the hols - 2 bottles over the weekend and that's it. I've only just started wading through the Happy Downs again if only to tidying up the fridge - one a night with loads of ice to water it down a bit“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Went last week and it felt more complicated than sada, I was having to add up prices before multi buy rather than how many different things do I have! In some ways it was the same though, as I split my shop and put my RTCs and a few must have items through separately, lovely SA (or are they partners?) said I was 57p short of using my second £6 wys voucher, so grabbed the nearest thing that was under £1 - porridge!0
