Another A article has appeared on MSE - womblers mourning the loss of the APG:
    https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/2018/09/-womblers--hit-out-at-the-scrapping-of-the-asda-price-guarantee

Now I know we are disappointed too, but I doubt A are really going to be concerned that people who have been collecting others' receipts and claiming a voucher (for a shop that we have not spent money on) are going to lose out.

I am sure they have stuck to the 10 receipt/£100 limit every month like we have :A :D.

This is not me having a go at those wombling as I have benefited too, but is it really worthy of an article? It reads like a Daily Mail article with the requisite sad face photo ... :D.

    Thank you SnS. :A

Apologies TS - I was waiting for payday then totally forgot.

Sorry - it is a blog on the right ---->

    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/2018/09/-womblers--hit-out-at-the-scrapping-of-the-asda-price-guarantee-/?_ga=2.129689034.770529583.1536044598-483857057.1506354793

Someone has proposed a boycott apparently ... if we did that sales may go down but their profits will likely go up overall :D.

Thanks for all the fridge freezer advice. I have ordered a Beko from currys. Was the cheapest place and they will remove the old one for £20, that is cheaper than the council charges for fridge removals.

I've just been to investigate the old one. Was yuk! Defrosted mouldy food in the freezer including a carton of milk that had leaked everywhere as it defrosted. It then seems to have evaporated in the summer heat. to make it worse there were tiny creepies everywhere in the freezer (how did they get in?) I suppose there is a minimum standard to get it to for the delivery guys to take it away.

Thanks dd2 is 7 weeks old now

How are the allotments going? Brewing/jamming anything good?

Only about a week between DD2 and MG's newest grandson :D

Allotments are a bit meh at the mo, in the process of swapping plots so that's keeping me busy. Fruit was mostly crap this year so no jam for me and I'm not doing anything with the grapes because they're on the plot I'm giving up and I don't have the time/mental energy for brewing this year :o next year though :D
