On your first point here Savvy ....my take on it is that if it all ends tomorrow we would have some notice. Surely they couldn't stop it instantly without giving notice?

I haven't printed any extra out yet.

    What are people thinking?

    Edit: not WMC hehe

    Technically they could:

"26. We may withdraw or suspend the Asda Price Guarantee, (or any part of it), at any time without notice."
    https://www.asdapriceguarantee.co.uk/terms.html

But then I do tend to follow what people say, which is usually not what they mean or do, and do tend to concentrate on and follow the rules that don't apply as it's 'just something people say' and people never follow them anyway.

In fact, if you take that sentence literally they have covered the circumstance of giving no notice but haven't catered for, or given themselves the right, to stop it with notice. So I'd argue it's against the T&Cs to withdraw the thing with notice:rotfl:. I think they mean "with or without notice". But, then again, if there is an ambiguity, it should be resolved in favour of the consumer, which would mean it could be withdrawn with notice as well as the "without notice" that they have stated.

I'm thinking there is no indication (or for that matter any outright statement) that it is stopping in my store. There's been no promotion of the APG for a while in many stores anyway, except for the occasional time I see a store that has left a reference on the bottom of their receipts that has probably been forgotten about and left there, such as, in some places that obviously as a result cannot have the APG reference there, the carrier bags message about carrier bag charges starting in October (in England) that was still on at least one store's receipts the following September, seemingly forgotten about. I think the staff simply didn't change it. (It doesn't matter anyway as it is only me that reads these things on receipts; no-one else is bothered with it or notices anything.) I wonder whether the SA that mentioned taking signage down was referring to what the store was doing six months ago rather than right now?

I was -and still am - hoping that, with the proposed merger with S, which still has a long way to go before approval, that someone from S might run A, that doesn't know that A runs an APG and the APG just continues, silently, online, forever without them noticing. Stranger things have happened, but it's perfectly possible to have someone in charge of a business and for them not even to be aware of absolutely everything that their business does.

I always visit the laundrette whatever country i'm in, goes with travelling light, you have no option. The best one was in Bolivia, a little old woman in a tiny shop, didn't cost much and the whites came back whiter than i'd ever seen, all neatly folded and ironed and turnaround time was quick.:)
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

    Morning all.

We still had 18 degrees this morning but then it started to rain .... all cats back inside so it looks like its set for the day now. But its only dropped to 17 :D

In the meantime I did an order for 120 pouches £16.79 Felix sachets as described on FB on savy deals uk.

You have to collect the voucher underneath and subscribe to save and subscribe - I put 6 months (so I can remember to cancel) and then the final basket drops to £16.79 which works out about 14p a sachet :T

The delivery date is September 10th but hopefully sooner.

We went to get some gravy tinned cat food from Sainsburys yesterday and our store had had a power cut so they had shut the store
But we have a bag of iams and about 4 tins left so no one is going to starve today

There is a back to school promotion on Amazon pantry, buy £20 buy £5 automatically taken off your basket. Some of the items are also free delivery items. Savy deals UK FB got the 2 offers to cross a couple of days ago.
Its only for a select few though who have been sent an email from Amazon - sadly not me :(

This is Iona before anyone asks - I don't even think its built yet

    https://www.pocruises.com/cruise-ships/iona/

Just incase this does interest anyone they are taking pre bookings from today.

People are saving that they have booked for the end of May 2020 and they have got one free child's place - saved about £400 - is this Whit week? I am out of touch with school holidays.
Anyway its a consideration as it brings the cost down - I don't think they are taking deposits yet but its 5% and the rest 12 weeks beforehand I think ... so that's plenty of time to save up
    No gratuities to pay either

It also means that if everyone books the new ship for 2020 then other ships might have more last minute bargains.
And if you don't want to be on a large ship with a lot of families book an adult only ship instead :)

Means i can use my discounted GC from Quidco along with my AA card discount of 20% . Also noted breakfast cheaper than at Harvester. £4.49 excluding coffee. So after AA £3.59 for unlimited breakfast, not too bad,b will try it out and see what it is like. Mine attached to a Travelodge so possible cheap trips away as unlimited breakfast would do until evening.
