Morning all - only 9 degrees feels very cold but the sun is shining.
Cats are very clingy and trying not to let us out of their sight - Treacle is the worst, like a demanding toddler.
This monings weight in - 7.8 pounds put on despite doing about 12 thousand steps most days  OMG that is what 2 weeks of alchol, fresh from the oven seeded buns with butter, mini danish pastries in the morning and ice cream twice a day does to you.
Its taken since January to loose 8 pounds

Morning All,
Sad_mum has been doing all our shopping for a while, she got fed up with me spending too much time and buying stuff we don't need (even if it was free) but it's amazing how we are always running out of essential stuff now she is in charge.
I thought I would check the thread and I see there is a wine deal on, that could be interesting, we have been paying way too much for this since I gave up the glitch shopping.
Also noticed a potential Tesco clubcard points offer. I've got a debit card and credit card with Tesco if that helps, I might be able to test something.
Cheers,

Sorry I thought you were having another appointment today to tell you whether you could have the reconstruction at the same time, I think this is a very good option if they say yes. Only one anaesthetic and only one lot of recovery.
So pleased for you that its stage one too :T0 -
Morning all!
We're off to Scotland to go camping for two weeks later today :-). Well, we've got to work today but then we're driving up to Warrington to stay in a Premier Inn, tonight, then driving the rest of the way tomorrow. It's a long drive from Devon!
The car is absolutely rammed despite the fact there's only two of us. It doesn't help that we've packed THREE tents. We bought a massive Outwell tent from Gumtree secondhand a couple of weeks ago. Our garden isn't big enough to put it up so although we're fairly sure everything is there, we haven't actually seen it up. So we're taking our old, worn out tent just in case. Then we're also planning on spending a couple of nights in bothies (old, stone buildings in the middle of nowhere with no running water, electricity, toilets etc) so we want to take our tiny backpacking tent just in case we turn up to a bothy and it's already full.
I've got an APG to use up from the UHT milk so I need to swing by A's on the way to Scotland. I was thinking of buying some wine so hopefully I'll be able to slot a few bottles around our tent collection. I just need to work out which ones work vs which shop and write myself a proper list.
I've also filled a huge plastic box full of tins and packets which I've got from glitches or cashback etc. We won't have to buy any food at all for the 2 weeks that we're camping if we don't want to, but it still doesn't seem to have dented our stocks much.0 -

I seem to spend more money when I'm being my most frugal :rotfl: but i don't see it as how much I'm spending more how much I'm saving.
Today I'll be buying about 72 cans of lager but I haven't bought any all summer because last time they were on the cash back site I fully stocked up so although at the time there's a big outlay in the long run I saved a fortune.
I know you understand that and if your wife's brain doesn't work that way (the elite way) I can see you will have a battle on your hands.0
