  • Good morning all, raining here, the lawn is starting to look a lot greener than it was, still not all the way there but at this rate I might have to mow it in a week or two

Been defrosting the freezer, emptied, steamed dried and refilled within two hours, not bad for a 300 litre chest freezer :D

We are having mango, chilli and lime chicken skewers, tarka dahl and samosas for dinner :rotfl::rotfl:

Thank you izzey for all your hard work! I'm really disappointed that I can't get to A's today :(. Otherwise I would have made use of this. Although maybe not the Ainsleys....I've still got tons left from a few months ago when I think they were working out a 6p per box or something ridiculous.

Also, I can't remember who it was but thank you for reminding me to play the Ribena game. I won another free bottle today, so not nearly as exciting as a £100 voucher but still useful :).

I picked up my Majestic Wine yesterday. I then had to cycle 10 miles home with them so it was slow progress. I've cancelled my membership now, it's really easy to do on their website. They ask you to select a reason for cancelling and I picked 'too much wine' which is actually true after the last A's wine glitch and the gallo wines from COS. :o

The car is all packed and we're off to Beautiful Days festival straight after work. The car is mostly full of Happy Downs and Orchard Thieves cider to see us through the weekend :rotfl:. It's tipping it down outside right now but the forecast is looking good for the weekend.

Thank you! I ordered a shower gel. :)
  • I haven't got the beauty offer on My Sparks, but I have got the £5 off footwear. I have got several pairs of foot cushions, but slippers came up on the list. Annoyingly though it does not work with the £5 ones :(

    Morning

These are showing ending today at the moment but will need checking again in the morning - along with my sums :o EDIT still showing same as earlier so should be good to go

    Heinz 3 for £2.00 offer. Beans+Saus/Spag+Saus/Macaroni/Spag Bol/Ravioli v Tesco 3 for £2.00 offer. Works out 26/27p each after APG

    http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/asda/bundle-661203_2755676.html

BBQ beans/chilli/curry beans v Sainsbobs 80p each work out about 44p each after APG

The 5 beans should compare to Morries 60p each, works out 25/26p each after APG

    Also 4 for £3.00 soup offer. Heinz/Batchelors Cup a Soups/Ainsley Cup a Soups

Heinz soups should compare to Tesco/Morries/Waitrose 4 for £3 offer and Sainsbobs 75p each. Works out 47.5 each after APG

    http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/asda/bundle-741961_2691464.html

Ainsley cup a soups v Tesco 2 for £1.00 offer, works out at 20p a box after APG

Batchelors cup a soups should compare to Morries 3 for £2.00 offer. Would have to buy in 12s and no more than 10 of one flavour; works out 28p a box after APG

Can't see any good comparisons for any of the Baxters or Crosse & Blackwell

Don't just rely on comparisons on Mysupermarket. Check varieties on store website too.
Check offer comes off at till, ignore SEL as unlikely to show the offer

    .
For beans and sausages etc, wouldn't waities comparison possibly be better at five for £3 making then about 20p each. Please check my arithmetic and confirm someone.

    Good Morning
Some good news at last, my niece got 3 distinctions for her BTech Fashion and Design Course, equivalent of 3 A*. She is 18 this Saturday 18/08/18.and is going to Bournemouth University.

Other news Mum and Aunt have both had falls recently and been in hospital, so keeping me busy.
Reseeded grass just as weather got hot, and even with lots of watering has only grown in patches, so have just had another go with loads more seed, so would like some night time rain every night please.

Have had roofline renewed, expensive but got what I wanted. Now have to clear enough space in stockroom (bedroom) so can have windows measured for replacement. Didn't realise how many variables there are, but think i have worked out what I want. Just terrified I like them when done..

Not many wombles or whoopsies here at the moment.

    Take care everyone.
