These five days of blackness at Mr M has royally peed me off. Mango and pineapple would have been very chez michaels but by the time I could get to the store after work they were all sold out. Sending out emails for one day promotions that those who work can not take advantage of is pretty bad form in my book.I've just been to M and they were totally out of these and the 24 loo rolls for £5 and the soap powder (though that wasn't so much of a bargain). I ended up buying two litres of Bombay Sapphire which will last me for a while now and then another £10 of bits I needed or had vouchers for (soup and Princes tangerines – the tangerines gave me overage as they were 2 for £1.60 and the vouchers scanned at £1). I got the 10p a litre off fuel voucher (though had a sense that the prices were not the cheapest) and my account is telling me that I earned enough More points for £5 which was an offer in an email which I activated. So I'm pleased with my shop despite their not having loo rolls and tea.
I'd looked at the Prosecco offer but they have a better one at A, assuming that the quality is comparable, £25 for 6 bottles. Does anyone know if that compares to anything please? I rather fancy getting a further 10% off if that doesn't mess up a shop.I think....0 -

Well done:).
I have done another two Muller shops, as it is not possible to buy too many shops of them.
I have now bought two tins of peeled plum potatoes on one of them and, fwiw, they do have the M mbuy:
2x ASDA Smart Price Peeled Plum Tomatoes in Tomato Juice (400g) £0.58 £0.50
The other shop I had a voucher that I thought was lost as I got the "you have exceeded 10 claims" message last month (obviously I had not kept track and done my three-bar gate properly). I re-entered it tonight though, expecting it to say the same and then lock the account at more than 10 claims preventing any more for the rest of this month. Instead, to my surprise, it came up with the comparison and let me claim the voucher:T. The voucher was for £2.98, so that went nicely on...0 -
My apologies for the lateness of the M list updating. Obviously doing the Muller shops has not taken up the entire day - instead I have been taking a break in between. For the M list this time, it is a case of on, off, off, on, off, on, on, off:mad::rotfl:- which makes for a fiendish set of updating this time. It's not the amount of items I have - I have had information on more items in total before but it was far quicker to update those as they were just the checking and adding of new items. This time though, fewer items but a longer time to sort it all out as some are off, some are on and all over the place. Instead of taking the expired items straight off the list at the start, like I usually do, I think this time, to save me from duplication later on (each time I come across an item marked as off, I have to check whether or not I have already deleted it from the list), I will work through and delete them piecemeal - this time, therefore, some of the expired items, depending on when I get to them in my information, may remain on the list - the expiry dates should help as many of those marked as "Until 21/11" are, indeed, off - a couple seem to have rolled over, that I mentioned earlier, the Pek Pork (300g) and, it seems, a Super Yummies pouch. I will be removing and adding items as and when I get to them. Normally this works even if I am late, though, because new items will still be on offer for a couple of weeks yet. Depending on when I finish, I may miss checking in M this Monday and just go on Wednesday next week - a difficult day anyway that one. Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible:rotfl:. I am enjoying my break:D.0

The comparison on the A 4 pack kitchen towels against M is a glitch. I hadn't thought these were very good, as 240 sheets should be 50p. That's the price the Freedom Rhino towels went to ages ago in M. (They are excellent btw - they clean up a lot better than some other products - and I still have "a number" of rolls of those single roll packs left - shame I doubt anyone will find them now as that was cleared so long ago. I was absolutely right to stock up as much as reasonable on those, and perhaps then some, when they were around perhaps a couple of years ago - I think I had one "am I buying nearly enough?" feeling from my first set of purchases and therefore I bought some more later for good luck just in case - and how right I was to do that!)
At 100 sheets for nearly 50p:eek:, after the comparison, I thought A's are a bit dear. Better cut them in half when I use them in future:rotfl:. Nonetheless, look at the 4 pack own label ones in M (don't buy them as they are way worse) - the packs are tiny! I've seen them now and no wonder I didn't take much notice of M's product before as straight 10% off that price for the same size would be very poor value. However, the product I bought at A is very much larger and I am more happy about it - it is somewhat more than the small packs available in M. A's product now, with the "longer rolls", is an item where, for once, it seems we have been favoured by a "new" item with a change in pack size. Sadly it's not available to shops done in Northern Ireland As, as it is a comparison against M. It is probable the A item was in the system before as the smaller pack rolls and has remained in the system with the same BC is being used for the 'longer roll' packs and therefore they are comparing against the product in M. It's not yet been identified that 100 sheets per roll is now comparing against 50 per roll.
Sadly the collectors have not yet found that the Spiral Scourers 4 pack is equivalent to Stainless Steel Scourers in M and have probably not yet identified, and seem unlikely ever to identify, since it's been there for years, that the Savers frozen peas are within weight range from the SP version, but we can't have everything.0 -
A few miles makes all the difference - no frost here!
It certainly does. Some days I have been helped by there being good weather all day here (obviously during what we had of the summer) when 10 miles north it was raining for some of the day. Indeed sometimes there's been a passing shower in parts of my city but not where I am. I have been monitoring with a website that tells me every five minutes where the rain is and tells me where the rain was five minutes ago as I don't trust the Met. Office even on the day or an hour before rain inevitably hits when they've shown none on the chart. On only one occasion so far has the netweather site let me down - when a shower must literally have started in my location - otherwise it has told me that rain will be due (and not through unreliable predictions of other websites, but actual almost real time rain-tracking, that is the only thing that ever tells me, something that has actually happened minutes ago and not an unreliable prediction) and has enabled me to predict, better than the weather forecasts are, roughly how long it will be before the rain, coming in my direction, gets here. I can then swear immediately on seeing rain starting up on the map reaching near me and rush out and pull the washing in, before swearing yet again that it was a useless day to have put it in the machine and how the day is a complete write-off due to the hopeless weather in this country. I enjoy swearing:rotfl:.
Meanwhile, regarding frost, I had to park my car a few metres up the road tonight after I returned from my Mullers shops and someone had taken the space alongside my house. Not to worry though: wherever I park will be the one place that leaves my car the only one in the entire street that will need the windscreen defrosting in the morning:mad::rotfl:. (I've had it before - everyone else, parked on the road in the same direction, completely clear - get to my car, the only place the sun didn't hit:(.)
See you later folks:wave:.0 -

I've had a busy day today so only just caught up on here
Was working in charity shop from 1-4 so out the house 12.30. Got away about 4.15 and came home, fed dogs, sorted out Berry's meds and a new bin of Noela's dry food and took them up to Joy's for boarding as I am out all day tomorrow. Got there just before she closed at 6pm and stayed chatting till 7pm. Poor Joy lost her Mother to cancer last week
so we chatted about that, and Alan's cancer too, and then about some more dogs we have coming over from Romania to foster with her
Then went to a local village hall where Ravenswood are holding a jumble sale and dog show tomorrow. 'We' set out the tables and chairs. I say we, but of course I did more supervising than moving furniture lol, though I did set out chairs. We unloaded my car and another car and a van, then I left them sorting out the stuff and I popped along the road to get the five of us some chips as everyone hungry by then. I drove off through the village looking for chip shop, but no sign of it. Came back through village with no luck, then back again before trying to ring a couple of the girls at the hall, but neither of them answered their phones. So I had to drive back and suggest to them that the one person who had not been to this chippy was perhaps not the best to send on their own. as we chatted about how I should have seen it clearly on main village road, one girl said 'Oh it's closed for refurbishment' :rotfl: So I went further afield for the chips as none of us had eaten yet. When I got back we had a break and ate the chips with a drink from the bar. Then finished off what we had to do. I got home about 10.15pm
Did some washing and tumble dried it, and just been catching up on laptop since then. Need to be at hall for 9 in morning for opening up at 10 so another very busy day

Good morning everyone.
Belated happy birthdays to TM, Sue and Silvercar, hope you all had great days. Sorry to hear of the sad news. Hugs and thoughts sent to you.
I managed to get the yogurts yesterday so thanks for the trigger. Fridge is looking healthy again. Going to M today to fill it up with soup as the offer changes tomorrow so expect them to go back up to full price again. Just realized it is £1 in Iceland so may get some there as well.0 -
Good morning all, happy Saturday.0

ETA Half price NCG soup ends in T on 28th.
And ends tomorrow in Morries.
Morning
