Been busy entertaining 2nd Cousins staying in Other Sisters house.
We met the females yesterday in a quaint town for tea & cake & sight seeing.. whilst chatting we discovered they had never been to the Littlewoods Clearance shop ... tea was drank & off we rushed to do shopping.. who wants to see Dams, the source of the Severn? when you can shop? :rotfl:
One bought Dr Marten knee high biker style boots & a ladies leather biker jacket for £70 total - a well chuffed Hampshire visitor :T
We were there until they shut the shop :o

Hoping everyone is well & with valid passports? :D

Shop today - working on That Sister's 18 yr old Son to help out instead of being in bed all day ;)

    Bestest Lovelies xxxx

Hope he's not depressed, has he spoken to anyone about the situation?

Tbw.....pleased your passport is on its way....I've lost 2 nights skeep:eek::rotfl:

    Di.....no way is that 3 years:eek:

I looked something up at work yesterday thinking it happened early last year. It was actually September 2014:eek:

Is snap ok? I've been skipping but might have missed her posting

Thanks - but its not on its way quite yet. My application and photos online were accepted and my old passport was delivered to them at 7.49am this morning according to Royal Mails tracking system . Nice and early and for £6.50 fee that it cost me it was worth it. Hopefully I will soon get updates on how things are progressing.

    I don't think so

    what about drinks?
    sausage rolls for freezer

That's a shame. I might have to stock up on bottles of Coke and a few bits for the freezer.

My fault for being too disorganised, it's not as if there's not been enough reminders on here :o:D

morning all I have a big list of jobs to do today, first was to ring docs for appt in 2 weeks - tick
second was to ring to check if we were able to claim hospital travel costs back to London st Thomas's (2 n half hours away) was told no, as we now have hit the threshold and we don't get an exemption certificate. £65/70 for train fare I think not. I have cancelled that appointment. Not happy - it was only the nmw that has put us over the threshold by 100 quid :(
Now got to find doctors letter to phone/email to tell them we are not attending the consultant appt. What a pain in the !!!!!

    Morning all

I've got £8 in Gr*ggs on my AP, does anyone know if they do a gift card that I could buy with this?
Am supposed to be eating healthily so I don't fancy buying loads of doughnuts or pastries!!!

No you can't - they have to be spent. £8 is easy enough to spend up though :).

To get you started, sandwich and drink, £3. Bacon sandwich and coffee £2. Bottles of juice or fizzy pop are around £1.35 each.

Just sharing what I’ve noticed ……

SAVERS – Last week their 500ml bottles of Pepsi Max were 49p. Today they are 69p – the same price as the full sugar variant. Effectively they have nullified the purpose of the sugar tax and pocketed the proceeds. Not to mention the 40% increase in the price.

POUNDLAND – Last week their 2 for a pound Pepsi (All variants), Mountain Dew etc. were in 500ml bottles; this week they are only ¾ of that at 375ml.

the sad thing is and youve found out to your detriment this was what the government wanted with upping the nmw as it takes away some burdon on them.
